I really wanted to like this but the food is so bland. I didn’t think fried chicken could be messed up, but I was wrong. The chicken didn’t taste like anything other than oil and batter. We also ordered some sides that weren't available. They just replaced with other sides without notice. Definitely 1000 other friend chicken places better than this.
Cool place but more based on trends than the actual food. Location is missing several menu options from main location and online navigation isn't streamlined to differentiate between locations.
Bear in mind this is a "Ghost Kitchen" that has no physical location even though there is a physical location located on Boston.
Needs a better business model and updated site navigation as well as better advertising that this location is a Ghost kitchen on the website.

Worst “chicken” I’ve ever had…very questionable meat, couldn’t eat it…

Their food is great but they seem unable to actually be open during their posted hours. I ordered chicken for pick-up on my way home from NYC - TWO HOURS in advance. I did not stop some places that I wanted to because I had committed to picking up my order at 7:30pm. When I arrived 15 min before my order was promised, the place was closed and a girl behind the counter yelled at me that they were closed. A guy then came to the door and said they cancelled my order. Of course, even though they had my phone number, they did not bother to call. AVOID as this is the second time they pulled this maneuver.

Ordered pickup on Unereats and drove 40mins to this location to find out it’s closed. It said it was ready for pick from the app. The person side the store said alright I’ll just cancel your order then. I’ve never seen such attitudes from a restaurant that wants to survive in this economy. Also this is a ghost kitchen that’s inside another restaurant and it took us a while to find the store. NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE.

it took me a while to find the place, the name on the sign outside is Proteinhouse
ordered 2 plate off doordash and the chicken inside was undercooked, to top it off doordash only “could” refund me for half the price of the plate ($5) when it was an $11 plate.
"Spicy Chicken Sandwich" was strange and inedible. The two piece chicken meal had a sauce with a nice flavor but the chicken itself was questionable...but they earned the official 1 star review when I put a forkful of the macaroni in my mouth and it was COMPLETELY RANCID. I immediately started to gag and nearly vomited.I very rarely write bad reviews but with I think the Health Inspector really needs to check this place out.

Got food poisoning from this the next day. Low quality chicken thighs, proteinhouse ghost kitchen.
I want this place to get better, I like the flavors and sounds of the food in theory, but both the chicken sandwich we ordered and the fried chicken came raw with pink inside and an odd texture when biten into.. I also got the taro smoothie and it was good but having raw food is... unacceptable...

I don’t know what all these people are talking about, best chicken I’ve ever had by far. Everything had flavor from the inside of the chicken, the breeding, to the sauce they put on the chicken. Only bad thing about this place is I can’t find it in person. But either way I’m not disappointed in the quality.
3 orders in a row when the items are not in the order. Absolutely ridiculous. When you order $70 worth of food and half the order is missing that’s when you lost a customer. My job will NEVER order from here again.

Consistency might be an issue but I'm sure its an issue with most restaurants, sad to hear others have had negative experiences as I've almost always found their food to be amazing, and for that price no one should complain. On average that is the best fried chicken I would choose to eat before any of the big name fried chicken places. Only runner up to Chik File in my books :D the plastic packaging for the steaming hot food seems like an easy fix, why not cardboard? I did once get "too much" chicken and the plates were all stuck (melted) together.
BAD LUCK or BAD SERVICE??Mochiko never seems to get my order right. There’s always something missing or something wrong with my order. Granted, their Crispy Chicken Sandwiches are delicious, and they did refund me for the first order, but they still haven’t been able to make my sandwich right (as shown on the menu). And last night my sandwich had, what seemed like leftover fried chicken patties, 1/2 their regular size, with no crispy edges or crispiness at all. (Really Mochiko??) And that was the last straw!! I won’t bother calling them, I just simply won’t order from them, EVER AGAIN!!
