Excellent service, food and atmosphere every time we go. The best Lobster Rolls. Loaded with Fresh ( not frozen) meat which includes tail, claws and knuckles My husband got the Fried scallop plate. He could not finish it and ended up taking it home. Overall, it was a great experience. Definitely will return.

Great scene and scenery

Overpriced and food not great. The view itself is the only reason why I give the Inn 3 stars.

Went to Popponesset Inn for the first time tonight and had a party of 10. Food was great and only surpassed by the service of Kelly & Ali. Wonderful atmosphere with a strong " old Cape Cod" vibe.

The food was marginal at best. A “buffalo” cauliflower appetizer was oily and bitter. The cod batter fried sandwich was all batter. The cod inside was fine but there was so way too much batter - the sandwich appeared huge- too big to eat as a sandwich but really was just a lot of fried batter. The cole slaw was very good as were the french fries. The “plank” salmon was just ok. the accompanying roasted potatoes were over cooked and soggy. The dining room has an amazing view. It was very loud. The servers were all great. Would not go back.

Food was good. Cost was average. Server was excellent, very patient as we had a very slow eater in the group. Sat next to window with ocean view. Overall, couldn't ask for more.

Great view of the ocean, relaxing atmosphere. My lunch of beer battered fish was delicious although the string French fries were typical and I would have loved them to be homemade/seasoned. The server accommodated us by splitting our meal as we ordered quite a bit of appetizers, quohog and chowda. The children's chicken strips was just enough for our little guy. The staff are friendly, groomed and dressed professionally.

We made last minute reservation. Serve staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, which is understandable when things end up busier than expected. Having said that, the food was excellent from the swordfish to the rolls. The ambience on the water very nice. Would definitely return when not as understaffed

It happened to be a very cold evening so it was chilly even though we were inside - the hot chowder was just the thing. A minor point: chopped salad wasn't chopped - it was presented like a typical salad - but fresh and good. Serving sizes were generous, french fries were excellent (no easy feat for our finicky eater) and special requests were perfectly and kindly accommodated. Our first visit but not our last.

Shrimp scampi was too rich. Chicken piccata sauce was too creamy and rich. The only way you could get simply-prepared seafood or meat was to “add protein” to a salad. It seems more attention was paid to the wines than to the food.

Beautiful venue for the wedding we attended.

C'mon guys. You automatically add an 18% gratuity, no matter how good or how bad the food and service might have been, and then you don't take American Express? I understand the need to include the tip with large parties, but I think the chronically bad reviews of the service relate to the fact that there is no way the customer can give immediate feedback to the waitstaff and management, since leaving a small or no tip is not an option. And given the cost of the food and drink, New Seabury can afford to accept ALL credit cards, especially AmEx.

My father, my husband and I ate here while a wedding was in progress in late June. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and they sat us right next to a window with an amazing view of the ocean. Even though the wedding guests were everywhere, they didn’t miss a beat. Handicap accessible—my dad uses a walker and there were no stairs.

skip the restaurant!!! the service is so slow that dinner becomes unbearable. your server goes MIA in the middle of service, the busser takes away your silverware, so when your food arrives, you wait longer for fresh silverware. it takes 20 min for a server to even approach your table, then immediately asks you what you want for food and drinks... as if you're just a number in the books. then you wait another 20 minutes for your drink to come out. for an empty restaurant, there is no reason for service to be that slow. the food is overpriced and mediocre at best. waters were never refilled and we left extremely annoyed. will not be coming back
