“Had a delicious dinner last night at Avenue and wish we had checked it out sooner. Amazing wine and cocktail. Tried the Brie appetizer and Avenue Flatbread, which were both delicious and unique! Spiro, our server, was so attentive and knowledgeable. Service was excellent! Wish we had room for dessert bc that also sounded great but I guess we just have to go back soon”

“7th Wave is a great local brewery that has a good range of brews on hand. However, they also have some of the best pizza in the entire area. Great Neapolitan-style pizza, seriously. Been a fan for years and the beers have only improved.”

“A hidden gem that opened last year and now our weekly go-to for Japanese - sashimi, sushi, ramen and poke bowls. The staff is very friendly and the owner, Anna, makes you feel so at home. The sashimi/sushi are fresh, delicious and prepared beautifully. The cocktails are creative and well made - mai tais, pistachio martinis, you name it. The kids (and adults) enjoy various fruit teas/slushees with optional boba. They also offer Chinese and Thai food on the menu. Staples like beef teriyaki sticks, sichuan fried rice or tangerine beef are must haves and often added to our meals with lots of leftovers to go home with. Highly recommend Wasabi Asian Bistro&Bar to anyone looking for great Asian food.”

“I love Takara in Medfield. The staff is wonderful. I eat here almost every week. Even during COVID, my family did take out weekly. This is my go-to restaurant. My wife takes me there as a reward!! The food is wonderful and well prepared. I think that I have tried almost everything on the menu over the years. My favorite meal is the spicy tuna avocado salad! The rest of my family enjoys the sushi, sashimi, and various maki rolls which I always help them finish. Korean inspired food is a nice twist on typical sushi. Great place with great service. Great bar and wines too!”

“I come here every couple months when visiting, and they know how to do chinese takeout right. Their crab rangoons are some of the best (even better than some of the thai restaurants I like), the chicken fingers are always crispy and hot, and the chow fun noodles are always great. I was surprised with the lower rating but I guess you just can't make everyone happy.”

Bakery items are so tasty and you will come back for more. The display of flatbreads are extraordinary as they are lined up for your viewing. A must for breads and tasty treats. The custard filled bombolone is the best (and my favorite).”

“I grew up in the area and have lived abroad—mostly in Europe—for the past 15 years. Over that time, I’ve become very aware of the differences in ingredients and food quality between Europe and the U.S. When I come back each year to visit family, I often find that a lot of American food leaves me feeling bloated and uncomfortable, likely due to additives, dyes, and lower-quality ingredients that I’m no longer used to.

Blue Moon Bagel Cafe is the one wonderful exception.

I’ve been coming here since high school, and it’s the place I genuinely look forward to eating when I’m back in town. I truly trust their ingredients: the food tastes fresh, clean, and well made, and it doesn’t leave me with that heavy, uncomfortable feeling I get elsewhere. The sandwiches are delicious, everything feels thoughtfully prepared, and the staff is consistently friendly and welcoming. Prices are also quite reasonable for the area, especially considering current inflation in the US.

I’ll admit that some of the desserts are total sugar bombs—but that’s probably just my now very European palate talking! For those who love a sweet treat, they’re clearly doing something right.

All in all, Blue Moon Bagel Cafe is a real gem in Medfield. I’m grateful it’s still here and always make a point to visit when I’m back about once a year. Thank you for staying true to quality and consistency all these years.”
