Overall Basil is one of our favorite restaurants. Always excellent food and good service. I keep checking the special list as every now and then they have the best meatloaf I have ever had. Unfortunately I keep missing it. The Clams Bianco are a fantastic appetizer (I had a second for my main course). Excellent veal and seafood dishes. A word of caution - book early as it is super popular and showing up without a reservation could be a big disappointment .

Reservation ignored and waited 30 minutes before we finally found two bar seats. Apps ordered and came 30 minutes later cold. Cancelled dinner and left.

Beth was the best waitress I have had in many years. We go out two to three times a week. So friendly and knowledgeable about their food. I would go back soon just to have her wait on us.

Let me start by saying that our waitress was fantastic! She took very good care of us despite the restaurant being very busy. Our 4 21.00 scallops wrapped in bacon were overcooked. The seafood casserole although it did have a good taste, and made up mostly of fish, was also overcooked. The butternut squash raviolis lacked flavor and the dough was to thick and chewy. They were supposed to be in a sage butter but I did not get a strong taste of sage.

This place is so good! The service was incredible. And I tasted the effort from the chefs when ate the food. And It is a very calm and friendly place. It was incredible. The place was so lovely!!

Basil is such a wonderful restaurant. Our server, Theresa, was very knowledgeable of the food, the wine and the specials. My brother had the steak au poivre and said nobody does it better than this place.
Booked via Open Table for 88th Birthday dinner. Arrived and hostess didn't have reservation. She didn't believe me, so I showed her my reservation confirmation for the restaurant and she said we would have to sit in the bar area. Waitress then angrily asked for my name and if I had a reservation. I had indicated in Open Table that it was a birthday dinner. No birthday acknowledgment.

Another fabulous meal at Basil! Really one of our very favorite dining places and friends that accompanied us agree. Quality of food, taste, portions and big selection of options . Service is always great and drinks always a good poor!! Can't say anything but positives about this spot! From apps to dessert just the best!

Once again, Basil's was terrific! No wonder it's always crowded ~ I'd suggest definitely making a reservation. The staff is great, from the greeting to the service. And the food was as always outstanding. I had the duck which is always great, and my friend had the seafood casserole which he said was outstanding.
