Restaurant was extremely loud. Barely even able to hear the conversation at the table. Food was not edible, had scallops which were tasteless and mushy, and French onion soup with no taste. Service was slow and while they did refund half my entree it wasn't close to making up for the rest.

We were seated immediately and waited on by the most wonderful server. My friend had a bad experience elsewhere when she ordered a pork chop. This was a special and she was afraid to get it; the server was detailed in his explanation of it, and assured her that if the meal was unacceptable, she could get something else. She did get it and the pork was cooked perfectly, tender and moist.

As always the selection and specials are terrific. My salmon on risotto was absolutely delicious! It was a quiet evening as by 7:30 everyone around us was gone. A favorite place for great Italian food and wine.

Had, yet, another fab meal at Basil's. Hostess, Linda, I think that's her name is a hoot. Very efficient and funny. Our waitress, Kendra, is wonderful and very fast moving. Totally enjoyed the meal!!!

My in-laws were visiting from out of town and we could not have had a better dining experience here. First, the service was OUTSTANDING. our server, Beth, explained all the specials so clearly and she took extra time to help us adjust our orders to get exactly what we wanted. She was very patient and noticed my MIL was a bit hard of hearing. I had the spinach ravioli special which was the best ravioli I have ever tasted. Everyone was pleased with their meal. It was a fabulous experience. She even pronounced our last name correctly when she brought the check back to us to sign.
Literally a hidden neighborhood gem . Been there twice now and have Has a family feel to the place . Both times I was there the place was packed. There is a parking lot across the street . Staff are all friendly . Menu has lots of choices . Appetizers salads or soups ... my wife and my adult kids were happy with Basil. We will certainly be back again .

From the delicious basket of various breads, to the House Salad with their unique tarragon sweet-sour dressing, to the Roast Duck L'Orange with a tasty orange marmalade sauce, to the fresh Swordfish Special with Arugula Salad - everything served last night by our very attentive and efficient waiter was excellent. We are so happy we discovered this wonderful restaurant tucked into a residential neighborhood in Medfield.

Food was ok. Not great. The server brought the wrong wine. The first course for two of us came on time but the third one was late. Very noisy. I heard great things about it and will give it another chance but I was disappointed.
