Overall Basil is one of our favorite restaurants. Always excellent food and good service. I keep checking the special list as every now and then they have the best meatloaf I have ever had. Unfortunately I keep missing it. The Clams Bianco are a fantastic appetizer (I had a second for my main course). Excellent veal and seafood dishes. A word of caution - book early as it is super popular and showing up without a reservation could be a big disappointment .
Beth was the best waitress I have had in many years. We go out two to three times a week. So friendly and knowledgeable about their food. I would go back soon just to have her wait on us.
Let me start by saying that our waitress was fantastic! She took very good care of us despite the restaurant being very busy. Our 4 21.00 scallops wrapped in bacon were overcooked. The seafood casserole although it did have a good taste, and made up mostly of fish, was also overcooked. The butternut squash raviolis lacked flavor and the dough was to thick and chewy. They were supposed to be in a sage butter but I did not get a strong taste of sage.
