I love Blue Moon Cafe so much. The vibe in here is always so welcoming. The staff is wonderful as well. Aside from bagels they have a huge selection of baked goods and amazing sandwiches. They have vegan cream cheese. My favorite is the “Montreal Bagel” that is an egg bagel with poppy seeds in the dough, and sesames on top. And the “Big Blue Bagel” which is a plain blue swirled bagel. The proceeds from this bagel go to a local Medfield charity. The coffee is also delicious!

This place used to be good at one point.. not sure what changed lately but it has been one disappointment after another.. exorbitant prices, lazy kids who are barely working, just chitchatting amongst themselves and average sandwiches.FYI .. they need to google what a ciabatta bread is.. using regular bread for sandwiches and calling it ciabatta is embarrassing!

I come here to catch up with friends simply because there’s no other place nearby where you can sit down and have a cup of good, not burned coffee. The food which is mostly sandwiches is good, Cubano is my favorite. They have a decent selection of pastries and cakes and bagels. My only suggestion is, please remove the Montreal name from your not very Montreal bagel, it’s not even close…rename it whatever you wish, just not that. They have fantastic cream cheese probably made in the house, love their walnut maple, sure it’s pricey but anything that’s not Philadelphia cream cheese is a step up, and this one has huge chunks of walnuts. Yum. My photo shows their cream cheese on an actual bagel from Montreal, which wasn’t purchased from them.
Consistently good... diversity of baked goods ... had a delicious chocolate biscotti ... next tome pain au chocolate!

So disappointed by the way the new owners are running this business. The hot chocolate was cold, the extremely greasy spinach and cheese croissant had just a small amount of filling at the bottom, and the service was a disaster. No one including the manager seemed to know what they were doing. So sad.

I grew up in the area and used to love going to Blue Moon Café. I have to say, I was in there earlier today and received horrible customer service. The woman checking me out was extremely rude and yelled at me when I went to check and see if the bag they put on the take-out container was mine. She then slammed a sign (which had been out of sight behind the counter) in front of me and glared, asking "Can I help you??" Super rude. They have never had a system before for takeout, so how was I supposed to know? It's too bad because I love supporting small businesses, but if I'm going to be treated like a criminal/thief for simply checking to see if my order is ready, then they will not be getting my business again.
