Really lovely sake brewery in Medfield! We bought two flights so we could taste all their sakes, and they were all fantastic. Our favorite was Inner Light--very unusual and flavorful, almost savory. Mountains on the Moon and Hi Maggs! also stood out. (And check out the names of these sakes!) The space was super cute and very 80s-scifi, and the owner was very friendly and open. We went while a Korean popup (Damgeuda) was serving very tasty food as well, which was a nice complement to the sake. They also have games (e.g., Battlefield) that you can play while you sip. We ended up taking a few bottles home. Really nice way to spend an afternoon!

Where do I even start. The only Sake brewery in New England?! Fell in love first sip. I'd had Sake before..... you know Hibachi.... but this is a whole different level. The flavors, the environment, the knowledgeable (wise beyond his years) owner Todd, and his wonderful family. What a great place. It gets better and better with every visit. The flavors are like any other. Alot of folks often say Sake is like a "rice" wine.. but it really is its own catagory in itself. All of the Sake is named after original SiFi movies as well as the theme of the Brewery. If you haven't checked this place out yet, this is your sign to get there. Check out thier facebook for events such as SiFi book club, Comedy Nights, Food Pop-ups and even Bonsai Night! KANPAI! ✨️?

I’m not a sake drinker, but after going here that definitely changed my mindset. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They have interesting experiences working with sake, several of them having learned the trade in Japan. We tried all different flavors of sake. Some have fruity flavors, one was pumpkin spice, etc. If you’re a beer drinker and enjoy the craft beer scene, you’ll enjoy this place even if you’ve never tried sake. It was a great experience and I’ll definitely be back again.

Great family-owned and operated sake brewery with amazing and inventive sake, a fun, comfortable space, and a variety of food pop ups and other events. The owners pour a ton of energy and love into this place and it shows. Highly recommended!

Great sake and always a fun time in the tasting room. I learned a lot about sake here, and it's much better than the stuff you normally get with your sushi. I know you're supposed to like the cold sake, and I do, but I really like the warm one. It's delicious. They also have a cocktail and a monthly comedy night that's really something. I appreciate that they could have made it look like Japan village at Epcot Center and it would have been filled with insufferable people talking about their year abroad in 1998, but instead they were like, Star Wars! And we're going to name out flagship sake after that Martian sex cult book. Perfect. No notes. Go get yourself some sake.

As a huge sake lover I was psyched to hear there was a sake brewery in MA. I decided to take the 45 minute drive out to Medfield yesterday to check out Farthest Star and I'm glad I did. The vibe here is very laid back. It's in an industrial park type of setting. Parking was a challenge and I thought it was due to the sake brewery but I'm guessing it was most likely the brewery next door as it wasn't busy when I arrived. The owner and his staff member were very nice. I ended up doing two different flights to experience all 6 of their offerings. Each one was unique. My favorite was probably the warm sake. There are some tables to sit at and they had a Korean pop up for food. I didn't buy any food as I was full. Overall, it was a cool experience and I'm hoping to see this company grow.

I came with friends for the second, and definitely NOT last time today. The sake is absolutely beautiful, and the lineup always changing (other than their flagship sake, which I could seriously drink all day.) The owner is so friendly and personable, and clearly passionate and knowledgeable in his craft. Bonus points for being a fellow sci-fi lover!I hope they’re around for a very, very long time, and can’t wait to find a reason to come back!

Unique place! (As it’s the only sake brewery in New England). The fermenting tanks and sterile koji room, and custom made filtering pump that uses ozonated water… all right there while you enjoy a flight of 3 sakes for about $10Also a small assortment of Japanese snacks for purchase and you can also BYOF (food).

Farthest Star Sake is a small, family-owned brewery located in Medfield, Massachusetts. They are the only sake brewery in New England, and they make their sake using traditional Japanese methods. The owner is clearly a very passionate sake maker who is always experimenting with new flavors and techniques.I recently visited Farthest Star Sake with a group of friends, and we were all very impressed with the quality of the sake. We tried a variety of different types, including junmai, ginjo, and daiginjo, and each one was delicious. We also really enjoyed chatting with the owner. In addition to the great sake, Farthest Star Sake also has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The taproom is small and intimate, and it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a few glasses of sake with friends. We would definitely recommend Farthest Star Sake to anyone who is looking for a great place to try some delicious sake.* The sake is delicious and made with traditional Japanese methods.* The owner is passionate about sake and is always experimenting with new flavors and techniques.* The taproom is small and intimate, and it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a few glasses of sake with friends.
