Summer salad is too die for

Unremarkable and disappointing. Weird sausage and pre-sauced brisket make for a forgettable BBQ experience. It should have been offered on the side, not mandatory, let alone disclosed.

A lack of respect for the customer's choice and the fundamental of good smoked meat leads to a low score. If you're a barbecue enthusiast looking for an authentic, craft experience, you can likely find far better options elsewhere. This place is, sadly, entirely skippable.

PJ’s Smoke 'N' Grill is a hidden gem that every BBQ lover needs to experience. From the moment you walk in, the warm, smoky aroma wraps around you like a welcome hug. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure you feel right at home while you settle in for a feast. The menu is packed with mouthwatering options, but the brisket is the true star—tender, juicy, and smoked to perfection with just the right balance of bark and flavor.

The ribs fall off the bone, the pulled pork melts in your mouth, and the house-made sauces take everything to the next level. Even the sides are standout—creamy mac and cheese, tangy slaw, and cornbread that’s sweet and buttery with a perfect crust. Everything is clearly made with love and pride. Whether you're a BBQ purist or just craving comfort food done right, PJ’s delivers on every front. I can’t wait to come back and bring more friends to share the experience. This place is the real deal.

So I've given this place a few tries and this was the best, burgers are amazing, toasted sesame buns and all, turkey honestly not great, nachos are fabulous, great service from Tess, and cream soda!!! Rare find for a resturaunt, great spot for late lunch overall

Don't go to lose weight. Could have been offered some BBQ sauce. Behind bar? Old mugs and closed CC receipts on bar..

If you haven't been here, please make plans to go!. The indoor seating/bar is adorable, what you might expect from a Southern BBQ place. Lots of wood, homey and comfy. We got take out tonight, but will definitely go back for dine in soon. Tonight they were playing musical bingo, and it sounded fun.

On to the food. My daughter and I were so enthralled with the menu, we wanted so many things, we decided to order a variety and save half for tomorrow's dinner. Whole meal was $61 dollars, that's $15.25 per person as 2 people will be eating what we ordered for 2 nights, even McDonalds cost more than that nowdays! So the food is priced great. We got 2 apps, the boneless chicken in peach/bourbon sauce and sweet n heat pork belly. The peach bourbon sauce was amazing, and just the right amount. The chicken is not breaded and fried, which we loved. Nothing but tender chicken and delicious sauce. The pork belly was chewy, tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The sauce wasn't oversweet or overly spicy... just right. Then we got the 2 meat 2 sides combo. Smoked turkey (which was breast) and brisket. I was nervous about the turkey, some places it tastes like you're literally eating smoke. The smell and flavor permeate everything. PJs turkey was smoked with just the right amount of restraint. Kissed with smoke so you could still taste the turkey. Crisped edges and tender turkey, lots of it. The brisket was sauced just right and sliced thin, it fell apart on my fork. Our sides were cornbread and dirty rice. I had 2 small issues here. There was only one chunk of cornbread, which was lightly sweet, and moist beyond expectations. We wanted more. The flavor of the dirty rice was fabulous, but it had no salt. For me, that is a 100% forgivable issue, I just added salt and it was perfect. Again I wish there had been a bit more. My daughter really wanted baked beans, so we got a separate side order. It was a very generous portion, beware they have a nice spicy kick! 10 out of 10 we will return here, there is plenty of parking, the server who took our order on the phone was very kind, polite and efficient, he was in person too! Good BBQ is hard to find, we've tried lots of BBQ places all over MA. This is by far the best as the food is delectable AND affordable. What a gem!!

Food was good.

They screwed up our to go order and gave us ribs instead of steak tips. Kids won’t eat ribs so they went to waste. Not sure how me saying medium/well didn’t catch the bar tenders attention.
Bar tender wasn’t that inviting at all.

I will give it another shot as the food was good but I’ll stick to the dinning room and stay away from that bar.
