Grew up in the next town over and remember going here as a kid. I've since moved to NC and am up in Worcester once a month for work. When I can I shoot on over and bring some pies and sausages back home.
Did you ever try KOA Pies on A st. In Southie. They we're billed as Australian meat pies but we're really derived from the English Pork Pie. They had an array of different meat filled buttery pastry shelled hand held warm savory pillows of goodness. My favorite was the Irish Beef Stew Pie. Sadly, they closed as well as the one in Eastie. Bought 2 nice steaks yesterday omg so thick and juicyyy ...and employees were excellent....I'm going to buy my steak there...the best 100% and the macaroni and potatoes salad very yummy
