My ex-wife grew up getting Amato's in Maine. We were both excited to see one in Massachusetts. The first couple of visits the subs were great. The last 3 visits they were horrible. Went last week and ordered 2 subs. There were no other customers. I paid extra for toppings. Both subs were marked properly, however the subs inside the paper weren't even close to what we ordered. She's a vegetarian, the last THREE times I've ordered a vegetarian sub for her they all had different forms of meat. Asked for extra pickles and no onions. No pickles and filled with onions. My daughter's sub was completely messed up. When I asked the woman for a copy of the receipt she said no. Shame on me for being fooled 3 times with 3 different people working there. The first time the staff had earbuds and just pointed to the computer ordering system when I tried to ask a question, he didn't want to be there. I literally had to go out and get a pizza costing me extra money when I got to her house. I'm in the hole around $100+ for their mistakes. I would highly avoid this location or make them physically show you the sub before they wrap it. Due to the number of times this has happened I will be reaching out to corporate. I worked for a sub shop in high school many years ago. It is almost impossible to screw up. Chains like this have everything spelled out for the employee, and we were busy. This location is consistently horrible. I urge you unless like playing roulette with your food to avoid this location at all cost. Three strikes...... That doesn't sit well with me.. Three strikes manager.. Do the right thing..

I am a frequent customer of this location, eat 2-3 days a week. used to love eating amato's as a kid best place to go to relive my childhood. Do have a problem with the young guy that works there twice now whenever he has had to make my sandwiches he has messed up. Refuse to order through doordash anymore and will only go in the store and order so I can watch him make my sandwiches. Not the sound rude but it's really not that hard to read Black ink on white paper on how to make a sandwich especially since I order the same thing every time I go in made the same way

I wanted to like amatos for last minute pizza and sandwiches. So far 3 times it was embarrassed disappointing food . The premade sandwiches taste just like the plastic wrapper and the pizza 🍕 is not edible. You go to take one bite of the pizza and everything comes with it . The turkey stuffing and cranberry made me sad. The turkey was hard and cold . Don’t come by unless you can’t get anything else . Overpriced and not good . I’ll go somewhere else.

Disappointing. Ordered an Amatos Italian, and it was served on a tough roll. These Italians are always served on much better, very delicious softer bread. It tasted nothing like it should and was just an average, very chewy and dry sandwich. As someone who was raised in Portland, Maine, it was a very sad lunch.

Nice to get fresh Maine Amatos subs in Massachusetts. Service was good, subs were excellent. Service was around noon on Friday. If you are in a hurry, premade wraps, subs and others could be an option. I am going to try online ordering. Food was very good

Having to walk from one end of the store and back, just to place an order, isn't really a good business model. Your pizza is not much better than any other pizza restaurant in the area, but it's still okay. Still, your location makes you convenient for a quick bite. When you order a steak sub, be sure to say "plain" if you want it plain. They'll put peppers and onions on automatically, if you don't. I've never had to do this at any other restaurants, ever! Returned the sandwich to be replaced. Slowly losing my interest in this place, for a meal.

It’s amatos, it tastes just like everyone in Maine. If you want bread you have to order in advance, FYI.
