Best tacos in town!! I love coming here for a quick bite to eat. Everything is made to order and comes out delicious.

What a great place to discover. By now, I have tried most of the items on the small but tasty menu. I'm not sure I've found the best one yet, they're all great!

Way better, and more authentic, food than the big guys. I'll be coming back.

Food is excellent and one of my go to for lunch. I have tried the steak burrito which is fire. The chicken tacos are delicious. Steak tacos are tasty. My co worker is a vegetarian and got the veggie burrito and said it was great. Recommend going for lunch. Plenty of seats but not really a vibe for sitting down for dinner to me.

We used Monarca for a large corporate order and they did an excellent job. We ordered through Grubhub due to reimbursement constraints and everything was so smooth. Every order was perfectly labeled with each person’s name, all food arrived warm and accounted for, and exactly as ordered. Can’t wait to use them again in the future!

Fantastic spot, thankful we have authentic Mexican food like this in Milford. I’ve gotten bowls, I’ve had their tacos, burritos—it is all so good and flavorful.

Baffles me that anyone would choose to go to Chipotle when Monarca is right up the road. Support your local businesses! This is the one!

Literally the best restaurant in the Milford area. My husband and I eat here at least 3–4 times a week. The menu is small which is perfect because they’ve perfected everything on it. Burritos, tacos, bowls - all 10/10, every time. Raquel, the owner, is one of the kindest business owners we’ve ever met. She treats every customer like family and genuinely cares about the experience. If you’re hungry and want a hearty, satisfying meal that won’t break the bank, this is the spot. There’s no other restaurant I’ve ever loved this much!

My recent experience with Monarca Taqueria in Milford, MA was, in a word, terrible. I placed a takeout order expecting flavorful, well-prepared Mexican food, but what I received was nothing short of a disaster. I ordered the birria tacos, which are supposed to be one of the restaurant’s signature items. What arrived were soggy, unstructured tacos with a greasy, off-putting taste that not only failed to satisfy but left us feeling physically ill the following day. Food safety is non-negotiable, and what we experienced raises serious concerns.

The tacos were swimming in oil, lacking the depth of flavor or the traditional richness that birria should have. The texture was mushy, the meat was stringy, and there was no evidence of quality control in the preparation. The accompanying consommé was equally uninspired—salty, thin, and devoid of the slow-cooked complexity one expects.

Worse yet, the portion sizes were laughable for the price point. Over $20 for three tacos and a few stale chips? That kind of pricing might be justifiable if the food was exceptional, but Monarca fails on every front—taste, texture, presentation, and value. This is not elevated street food; it’s reheated mediocrity in a paper container.

We also ordered a burrito which was dry, flavorless, and fell apart the moment we unwrapped it. It seemed hastily thrown together with little care or seasoning, and the fillings were bland and overcooked. At no point did this meal resemble the vibrant, satisfying experience good Mexican food should provide.

To say this was disappointing would be a gross understatement. Monarca Taqueria is charging premium prices for substandard food that not only lacks authenticity, but also basic execution. There are dozens of better options in the area offering superior food at more reasonable prices. After this experience, I can confidently say I will never order from here again—and I would strongly caution others against doing so.

This is not simply a matter of preference; this is a matter of food quality and consumer respect. Monarca Taqueria has a long way to go if it wants to justify the hype—or the price tag.
