Restaurant 89 is honestly wonderful. I have lived in Milford for 7 years and never been because it is a little hidden (enter downstairs), but wow. I will be back. I hate leaving a negative review and try to spin everything into a positive, but for this place I don’t even need to. The service was attentive, personalized and active. The bartender took time to ask us what we enjoy and to gauge our hunger and speed levels for a full experience at Restaurant 89. The food was delicious. The pasta was clearly homemade. Soft, perfect texture, fresh. Wow. The meal was hot. I love a restaurant that offers a menu where a vegetarian can’t decide what to order, not out of indecision, but because everything is freshly made to my dietary preferences and all sounds so good. We will be back. Telling all my friends, too.
Multiple times visiting, Italian isnt the go-to for me but I really cant deny the chef's team behind the dishes and the hospitality behind the bar and wait staff. Great place, great food.

Restaurant 89 has been in my "want to go" list for quite some time and having finally made it, I can't believe I waited so long.
Attentive, friendly and patient staff supported a series of fantastic foods. From a delightful calamari (with some decently hot peppers) to a veal braciole special and a classic chicken parmesan, each served with delicate homemade pasta, our plates were cleaned and our bellies full. But not too full for a delightful waffle/gelato and an interesting apple creme brulee.
Outstanding start to finish.

We are “regulars” at the 89 which means we dine there at least once or twice a week! The food, the severs, the bartenders and the owners are all amazing!! They know “who gets” without asking. They space out courses perfectly, yet they are there when you need them. They never make you feel rushed but check periodically to see if you need anything! We have never had a disappointing meal and we have tried most everything on the menu as well as the weekly specials! From the house made soups to the fresh pastas, entrees and amazing desserts you cannot go wrong. If you haven’t been there and are looking for an outstanding dining experience try 89!! It won’t disappoint!
We were a party of sixteen. Waited over an hour and no sign of server. We left without dinner. Can’t comment on food because we only had house salad.

My boyfriend and I came upon this restaurant while we were exploring the city. There was a couple walking out talking about how great the food was. I was so excited to check it out. It was 9 PM on a Wednesday night and we were told the kitchen had closed. We were bummed but we decided to stick around for a drink and I’m so glad we did. The bartender/owner brought out a complimentary chef’s board. This is a regular on their menu and is one of the best charcuterie boards I’ve had. The pear martini was amazing! Such a nice gesture and so appreciated. We will be back!

Having lived in Milford for over thirty years, I only recently visited this charming restaurant in the heart of the town. And what a delightful surprise it was! The ambiance was cozy, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that complemented the fine tasting food. Although the drinks were slightly smaller than what other places might offer, they were still pleasing to the palate.I enjoyed a dish, beef served over a bed of sweet potatoes, which was exceptionally savory. My wife opted for the seafood platter and was equally impressed by its rich flavors. The server was attentive and friendly, enhancing our dining experience by her courteous attention. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and plan to return soon.We highly recommend this spot to anyone seeking a delightful meal in a comfortable setting. Bon appétit!

We went on a week night and it was pretty full. Atmosphere is very nice. The 3 of us were seated and we ordered a bottle of wine and one cocktail. They didn't have the bottle we wanted, but said there was enough for two glasses so we just picked another bottle. Ordered calamari a nice large portion was brought to our table. Some were chewy some not. Placed our order and was told if your entree didn't come with pasta, you could have it for extra 5$. Salad was included and was fine. Our guest ordered Seafood Alforno, waitress informed him they were out of clams but could add more calamari. He was ok with that. His dish came with lots of pasta and seafood. My veal marsala was tough, my husbands chicken was good. Vanilla gelato was excellent. All in all, pretty pricey for an only ok meal.
