I have mixed feelings about this place. I love the fact that there is an authentic Mexican restaurant so close. But it's pretty expensive for what it is and the portions are actually strangely small.
I don't think I've ever had a burrito that wasn't filling enough until here. Most of the fixings are a la carte. So I end up spending like $17 for a burrito that isn't big enough to be a meal.
Also, the burritos are strangely wrapped such that the feelings aren't evenly distributed. Put the food is really good. The burritos, the maduros, chips and salsa, and tacos are all very good, but small.

Today I stopped in this to this Mexican restaurant grill that I always past by called El Barrio. Tucked in the corner in Central Ave Milton..this place is small but does have a nice atmosphere, nicely decorated and a couple seats with a street window view in case you want to have a bite inside. They had a good selection on the menu but I was in a rush so I chose a couple chicken empanadas. They did take a little longer than I expected unfortunately. Something like this item is usually ready to be packaged for someone looking to just pick up and go but they were made fresh so I can’t complain about that. The empanadas were on the dry side and could have used a little more seasoning. The chipotle mayo on the side definitely helped them out a lot but probably won’t be something I order from there again. I will be back to try their other choices though I’m interested in giving them a try.

So good! We had El Barrio cater a lunch for 30 people and everything was fantastic. We ordered a taco bar and everyone loved it. Topping and sides were homemade and delicious. Try the Yuquitas...unique and delicious!

People are very nice the food tastes pretty good no question atmosphere is pretty good although I've been in there on a few different occasions now it does seem like some people make it a little bit more larger with portions than other people so I've been in and I thought it was pretty big and then I came in and it wasn't so big but the food tastes pretty good no doubt
Parking: If it's during the busy time of the day you'll never find parking as long as it's not a busy time of the day there's plenty of parking
Food is very overpriced and small portions for the price. My boyfriend paid $20 for a chimichanga, I got two half empty tacos $7 each and 2 empanadas which were considerably smaller than the Dorchester location ones. Food took a while to come. Didn’t realize I ordered from the Milton location until I saw how long the delivery driver was taking waiting at the store.
Food is good but not worth the price. All in all I paid damn near $50 for everything.

Barrio Mexican restaurant in Milton, Ma on Central is horrible! 2nd time ordering .....Ordered a Taco salad. There were 5 Taco chips on top of salad, no rice, chicken was extremely dry and shrimp was cut in pieces. $20 salad wasn't even worth it. I will Never order again
