Small yet mighty! Set in the corner of a book store in an old mill, this café serves delicious, eclectic food in a warm and inviting atmosphere. We were there on a Sunday afternoon in Fall, and it was packed with people of all ages. The food and coffee were delicious. Come with a friend, or bring your laptop and just vibe.
Unbeatable atmosphere here. The location is unmatched and this place deserves its fame (I think the Bookmill complex has been in the NYT multiple times). That being said, the quality of the sandwiches at the Lady K has gone downhill. I understand that food costs are up, but I'd rather pay a few more dollars for the old size sandwich than the same price I have always paid for a smaller sandwich. The energy in this place is always dependent on whatever music the staff is choosing...
Had a good iced coffee on the deck over the stream\\river. Lots of others enjoying the food. Walked the trail from the parking lot to the stream and watched tiny critters swarm-swimming in the stream. Bugs or tiny fish, hard to tell even in a foto, cool tho.
