After being turned down to eat at the, now closing, Continental Restaurant (which i would have liked the opportunity to eat at prior to its closing this November), my friend and I found ourselves at Tides. Seafood was the goal, so we went with the fish tacos and fish & chips, with cole slaw and a Caesar salad. The food was nothing to brag about, but the service was. Our server, Tina, was a joy. So much so that, after our meal (and as the place was closing), I felt comfortable speaking to Tina about Massachusetts Question #5, regarding servers and tips. She was very thoughtful, and we really enjoyed hearing her perspective.
If you are in the area, go ahead and stop in for some good food and great people. Oh, and remember to not wash your feet in the sinks....

Stayed on Nahant for a couple nights in October and ate at Tides for an early supper after spending the day checking out the city. The food is great and the service and views are just awesome! Loved it!

This place never disappoints. Fave dishes are Lobster Ravioli, Blackened Shrimp appetizer with a ceasar salad on the side and if you just want apps start with the fried pickles! The menu is varied enough to please everybody. Join their club and they send big, generous discounts every few months. You can't beat the view of Nahant beach either.

What a crazy maze. The parking lot is a maze the restaurant is a maze. It's like going into one of those mirror maze glass houses trying to find your way in and out. Lol. Great tasting food. Hip atmosphere and Bartender Tony did a fantastic job.
