The fresh fish (Salmon) and salads were extremely good and cooked to perfection! The ambience is charming, warm and quaint. The problem was with the servers and very poor management. We were rather shocked at the lack of organization and attentiveness not only our table of two but others around us also experienced. The right hand didn't seem to know what the left hand was doing. New chef and there during Christmas stroll which means exceptional volume of people. Friendly staff but slightly overwhelmed by the non stop grind of Stroll weekend. Limited menu for stroll. Food was tasty but not exceptional like the previous chef. Example, lobster bisque didn't have the one large piece of lobster I would have expected. Would go back during non stroll to see the what the restaurant is really capable of.
We had a lovely dinner at 29 Fair following the Nantucket tree lighting on Main Street. The dining room in this circa 1709 historic inn was not much warmer than the frosty outdoors, but we warmed up eventually with some help from an electric space heater.
