“Have been going here a long time but yesterday my sister had to go to ER due to blood sugar. The staff (and other patrons) were amazing. Stayed calm and called the hospital. Jeff, our waiter, confirmed we should go and packed evening up and even before that stuffed mummies himself with blue cheese. John, the manger, helped us and said the owners called to make sure all was ok. Btw the food and atmosphere is amazing. Going in 55 plus years there. Thank you”

“We (my husband & I) have been a week in Nantucket at Greydon House were was like to be at home! very comfortable with a big king size bed, double air conditioning and a big bathroom with always hot water and very soft towels! breakfast just across the street; beach towels in a big tote bag with beach chairs every day! Very strategic location downtown just steps form the fast ferry and restaurant. If you have your own or rented a car they'll provied you a Park Permit very important there!
The people were fantastic helping us with any our request, alwayas very kind with all the people stayn in.
For sure we'll be back in Nantuket and Greydon house will be our stay again. Thanks to you all!”

“We love the food and the vibe at Slip 14! It’s so nice to have an excellent but casual restaurant on the water. Teddy makes the BEST Bloody Mary’s we have ever had! The energy is so great with Teddy’s personal playlist on Spotify, football or golf on the TV. Between Teddy, Brennan and Timmy they are a fun tag team welcoming everyone that walks in. Between the 3 of them at lunch on Sunday Funday you can’t miss having a great time. We loved the scallop roll which is so unique, smash burger and the fish tacos. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“This cute little cafe is a great vibe and offers excellent service and food. They have affordable prices, not to mention delicious breakfast options as well as wraps and sandwiches. The star of the show in this cafe is the speed and excellent service they offer. One of the best team members they have is Shea who goes above and beyond in all that she does. She once saved a man twice her size from a burning building. Also she volunteers at shelters for animals, and has travelled to various animal sanctuaries in the world where she had a huge part in saving the endangered species known as the African Penguin. Please visit 45 surfside and enjoy great food, great service provided by our hero Shea.”

“Delicious bagels! We ordered plain, herb and English muffin bagels, cookies, and scallion cream cheese. They were all phenomenal. The bagels were soft on the inside with just the right amount of chewy and crisp on the outside. They were also delivered right to my door. I highly recommend this bakery.”

Only reason for 4 stars is bc majority of what they sell is animal products. NOTE: only 1 of the 3 rice options was dairy free (the beans and rice, not the Spanish or cilantro lime) and the broccoli had Parmesan in it that wasn’t visible. “The best quick-service restaurant on Nantucket! You can order right at the counter or online, making it always quick and easy. The cheese fries are the best I’ve ever had, the buffalo chicken tenders are to die for, and the steak and cheese is equally delicious. Highly recommend! The food is consistently great, and the takeout service is fast. Definitely my go-to lunch spot whenever I’m on Nantucket.”

“Lunch time and we were seated right away. S3rvice was great, and food was great! Husband had the reuben, and it was tasty and generous in size. My 2 yr old had the kids fish and chips and he gobbled that right up. I had a garden sald and the Guinness onion soup, it was tasty and fresh!”

“We sat with some locals on the ferry over to Nantucket and they told us we had to stop by for their Acai bowl and other breakfast/baked good items. The pumpkin bread was delicious and I went back every day for another piece to go with my Chai which they made with steamed milk and it was delicious. I opted for the almond milk b/c they make it fresh in house. They seem to make a lot of items in house, as well as the granola and even the dog cookies for the pup cups (I overheard them talking about it). The ice cream selection was great too and one day I tried the Pumpkin- YUM! My husbands favorite was sea salt caramel on a chocolate waffle cone which we had never had before, but glad we did. The outdoor patio was also a good place to take a break and people watch.”

“I just had the best 70th birthday dinner here! Chef Joseph created a delicious menu and paired wines. The Company Popovers accompanied a crisp Caesar salad, Wagyu beef and a lobster tail with smashed potatoes & broccolini was the entree, rounded out with “The Marriage of Crème Brûlée + Chocolate Mousse” and Dows Fine Sherry Port. The service was spectacular (thank you Johnny) and the intimate and cozy atmosphere made for a wonderful experience for my party of 10. I recommend this place for a singular and memorable experience!”

“This was my second visit to Oran Mor. Party of six. The appetizers were delicious! Oysters, burrata, and potato gratin each one was Fantastic!
I had the halibut as my entree and it was cooked to perfection. Moist, flavorful with a delicious sauce. We had a rich and delicious chocolate dessert and a light fruity dessert, both were outstanding!
Every dish was top tier. I ordered a “Flaming Daisy” (?)cocktail which I enjoyed but it got a lot spicier as the ice melted. The waiter it off so that I enjoyed the whole drink.”

“Big items are quite good.Sometimes I've noticed some restaurants.Do so well that they don't take care of their customers. Ordered a spinach feta croissant sandwich, along with a beef Patty. Jamaican style wasn't disappointed in the flavors. Was disappointed in the service walked in, found the place to be clean. Designed for a very quick and go service station, waited there for 10 minutes, while another customer was being helped, there was a young lady at the register.But she ignored me, not the very best service.But the quality of food was good.I guess you can't get everything in life when you're living on an island.”

“Great Food, but proceed with caution regarding the bill

I recently stumbled upon B-ACK Yard BBQ after a quick Google search and decided to take a gamble on it for dinner. I’m glad we did, because the food was genuinely delicious. The burger was absolutely amazing, and the selfie platter was a standout—everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavor.

However, the experience wasn’t without its frustrations. First, the menu is extremely confusing. It is not at all clear what comes with your meals versus what are extra add-on sides. The layout is disjointed and really needs a professional redesign to make it easier for customers to understand what they are ordering.

The real issue, however, came at the end of the meal. When we asked for the check, we noticed a major discrepancy: the paper copy of the bill showed one total, but when we looked at the digital tablet, it was charging us about $100 more than what was on the paper bill. It was a shocking discovery to make at the end of a nice night.

I would strongly advise anyone dining here to be extremely careful. Double-check your paper receipt against the tablet before you finalize your payment to ensure you aren’t being overcharged. I do plan on coming back because the food is just that good, but I will be keeping a very close eye on the bill from now on.”

We returned recently and wondered whether the magic would continue under the new owners, and were delighted to learn that it has. We ordered widely different things--shrimp scampi, chicken sandwich, fish and chips, grilled chicken club, and chicken Milanese, with honey sciracha wings to start--and everything was delicious. Service was efficient and friendly. We'll definitely be back!”

“a stand-out of rustic humility in a sea of nantucket preppy. just two chefs helming the kitchen stage but everything moved seamlessly and calmly throughout a restaurant that felt more like a living room in a cosy home. our souls were exhausted from a day of big blings & gravitas but the flowered napkins & warm hosts soothed us into relaxing along with the gentle laughter of other happy diners.

“This is a family business and you can feel it! The food, coconut based ICE CREAM and boba are all amazing. Genuine Thai ice cream flavors like ube, Thai tea and yummy toppings like sticky rice and mochi. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options available. Prices are affordable too.”

“The 4 star review is for the staff. They work tirelessly and their efforts are appreciated. Despite a busy weekend holiday, staff really made the lines flow out quickly and efficiently.

Now to the beer. I must say I was dissapointed. It could not be my style of beer but I did notice the quality of cisco consistently falls sideways as they continue regional expansion, even their classics are somewhat unrecognizable nowadays. Fortunately for them they have branded themselves so well--most will equate it with Cape/Island Beach Beer..If you are a big IPA drinker, I can see the hype, but if you enjoy lagers and ales I'd skip wholeheartedly....

“What a find. We went to Nantucket from Cape Cod on a whim and didn't have dinner reservations. We'd never been before, so we didn't appreciate how difficult it would be to get into dinner. We walked for a bit and found East Street. My husband had the chicken friend rice in a pineapple and it was absolutely delicious. Our 11 year old son was with us and he got the burger- also very good and my lobster roll was fantastic. The service was fantastic but to top it off, my son left his apple watch by mistake - it had fallen out of his bag. Well we called the restaurant and the owner went above and beyond - put it on the ferry the next day and we retrieved in in Hyannis. He didn't have to do that, but we were incredibly grateful he was willing to. Can't recommend this place enough!”
