“Have been going here a long time but yesterday my sister had to go to ER due to blood sugar. The staff (and other patrons) were amazing. Stayed calm and called the hospital. Jeff, our waiter, confirmed we should go and packed evening up and even before that stuffed mummies himself with blue cheese. John, the manger, helped us and said the owners called to make sure all was ok. Btw the food and atmosphere is amazing. Going in 55 plus years there. Thank you”

“It was our first time in Nantucket. Greydon House was the perfect location. The room was comfortable and the shower was excellent. Price point was good. We were disappointed that the cable television did not work for the entire weekend. We like to watch the news and follow the weather, especially when we are on a vacation that includes outdoor activities. Staff was unapologetic about this inconvenience. We enjoyed complimentary morning coffee and muffins on the outdoor porch. I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Nantucket.”

“We love the food and the vibe at Slip 14! It’s so nice to have an excellent but casual restaurant on the water. Teddy makes the BEST Bloody Mary’s we have ever had! The energy is so great with Teddy’s personal playlist on Spotify, football or golf on the TV. Between Teddy, Brennan and Timmy they are a fun tag team welcoming everyone that walks in. Between the 3 of them at lunch on Sunday Funday you can’t miss having a great time. We loved the scallop roll which is so unique, smash burger and the fish tacos. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“We had the best dinner at Via Mare. Food was amazing and flavorful, service was amazing and our server was so kind and welcoming. We asked to move to the library and they gave us a table that was really great. Definitely recommend and I’m not sure why this place isn’t rated 5 stars”

“My wife and I rode bikes to this nice cafe and shared the Tom Brady sandwich and the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap. Fortunately, I ate the sandwich first, because the wrap was amazing! I would definitely order the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap again! Of course, it has fried chicken and bacon in it. It was quite busy after 1:00 on a Thursday in July, but we got a table right away. Excellent service! They filled our water bottles for us.”

“We dined here last summer with a large group and service and food was outstanding. Everyone was happy! We returned yesterday for date night and again, service was lovely. We really enjoyed the tarte, crab cake, and halibut. Dessert, a cookie bar with cookie butter ice cream(!!), was recommended by our kind and attentive server, Jerome. We also told him how much we loved the toppers brown bread, and he brought us a to-go slice and the recipe along with it - so kind! We love Toppers. Go for the meal, stay for the sunset.”

“I just had the best 70th birthday dinner here! Chef Joseph created a delicious menu and paired wines. The Company Popovers accompanied a crisp Caesar salad, Wagyu beef and a lobster tail with smashed potatoes & broccolini was the entree, rounded out with “The Marriage of Crème Brûlée + Chocolate Mousse” and Dows Fine Sherry Port. The service was spectacular (thank you Johnny) and the intimate and cozy atmosphere made for a wonderful experience for my party of 10. I recommend this place for a singular and memorable experience!”

“The tofu bowl was huge and was actually quite tasty with their sauce. We also got an açaí bowl (ask for no honey) and later went back for a smoothie. Only reason for 4 stars is bc majority of what they sell is animal products. NOTE: only 1 of the 3 rice options was dairy free (the beans and rice, not the Spanish or cilantro lime) and the broccoli had Parmesan in it that wasn’t visible. The girl working there was kind to point out which had dairy after I said I had a dairy allergy. Updated from previous review on 2026-08-26”

“Group of 6. Main dining room, very nice vibe. Food was outstanding - best in Nantucket. Service was solid. Only mild disappointment was the unexpectedly large bill at the end. They include an auto 22% gratuity on groups of 6 or more. Thats fine and we’d have gotten there anyway but would have preferred to be told that, either by the waitress or on the menu. The charge slip includes the all inclusive bill plus an additional line for more tip, which i find bad form. Its a great restaurant- just be up front.”

“Lunch time and we were seated right away. S3rvice was great, and food was great! Husband had the reuben, and it was tasty and generous in size. My 2 yr old had the kids fish and chips and he gobbled that right up. I had a garden sald and the Guinness onion soup, it was tasty and fresh!”

“We sat with some locals on the ferry over to Nantucket and they told us we had to stop by for their Acai bowl and other breakfast/baked good items. The pumpkin bread was delicious and I went back every day for another piece to go with my Chai which they made with steamed milk and it was delicious. I opted for the almond milk b/c they make it fresh in house. They seem to make a lot of items in house, as well as the granola and even the dog cookies for the pup cups (I overheard them talking about it). The ice cream selection was great too and one day I tried the Pumpkin- YUM! My husbands favorite was sea salt caramel on a chocolate waffle cone which we had never had before, but glad we did. The outdoor patio was also a good place to take a break and people watch.”

“The food was amazing. We had two appetizers and two pasta ntrees, and they were unique without being fussy. Fresh, minimal ingredients with unique combinations of flavors. I would definitely go back the next time I'm on nantucket.”

“Big items are quite good.Sometimes I've noticed some restaurants.Do so well that they don't take care of their customers. Ordered a spinach feta croissant sandwich, along with a beef Patty. Jamaican style wasn't disappointed in the flavors. Was disappointed in the service walked in, found the place to be clean. Designed for a very quick and go service station, waited there for 10 minutes, while another customer was being helped, there was a young lady at the register.But she ignored me, not the very best service.But the quality of food was good.I guess you can't get everything in life when you're living on an island.”

“We've been going to Faregrounds for years and have enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. We returned recently and wondered whether the magic would continue under the new owners, and were delighted to learn that it has. We ordered widely different things--shrimp scampi, chicken sandwich, fish and chips, grilled chicken club, and chicken Milanese, with honey sciracha wings to start--and everything was delicious. Service was efficient and friendly. We'll definitely be back!”

“This is a perennial stop for us yet exceeded our expectations this year. The menu selections combined flavors and textures in unusual and creative ways with great success. The roasted carrot salad was spectacular, as was the “Nantucket Reds” appetizer. The appetizer portions and lemon poppet dessert portions were on the small side but the duck entree was substantial and also a hit. We had friendly, attentive service by Archie and his support staff, and enjoyed the comfortable window bench seating and quiet, attractive indoor space. The outdoors is covered and equally appealing.”

Top Notch nothing but the best all around and Sam loves it too, my place also has a bartenderess named Sam what could be better, and as a bartenderess I have never met feiner and I have been around for those who don't know me, I'm not only an old hippie that don't know what to do but I've spent some time on both sides of the bar and she is Bar None Stellar personal service and you don't find that much no more oh, that's all I have to say about that, you will have to make your own decisions Beyond this report”

“This is a family business and you can feel it! The food, coconut based ICE CREAM and boba are all amazing. Genuine Thai ice cream flavors like ube, Thai tea and yummy toppings like sticky rice and mochi. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options available. Prices are affordable too.”

Now to the beer. I must say I was dissapointed. It could not be my style of beer but I did notice the quality of cisco consistently falls sideways as they continue regional expansion, even their classics are somewhat unrecognizable nowadays. Fortunately for them they have branded themselves so well--most will equate it with Cape/Island Beach Beer..If you are a big IPA drinker, I can see the hype, but if you enjoy lagers and ales I'd skip wholeheartedly....
