The best burger
Boat house is the best food on the island! All ingredients are extremely fresh and nutritious. Service/staff is always amazing and helpful. Open late for the night owl customers! Shout out to owners Hera and Sujata for such an outstanding atmosphere and great hospitality!
Hands down the best food on Nantucket! If you're visiting the island, make sure to stop by Boat House. I had the fish, and it was absolutely amazing—fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. Highly recommended!

BOAT HOUSE is a perfect casual dining restaurant on Nantucket and one of the island's best fast food places. The food is easy, fresh, well-seasoned, tasty, and delicious, with a ton of options on the menu. Dishes include fantastic burritos, burgers, salads, bowls, and Mexican-style bowls, with many vegetarian, vegan, and GF options. Specific meals like the Spicy Grilled Shrimp Bowl are amazing, packed with flavor, cooked perfectly, and served in generous portions. Burritos are huge and made how you want them, with fresh tortillas.
The staff is great, very helpful, friendly, pleasant, patient, flexible, loving, kind, and generous. The place is well organized, with convenient parking. Food is prepared quickly for casual dine-in or take-out. Prices are decent and fair for the portion sizes and quality, though steeper than the mainland. The restaurant also offers drinks like water, iced tea, and cokes, along with snacks, candy, and merchandise. It is a hit for families and anyone wanting a great, non-fussy meal, making it a place people return to every time they visit the island.
