“Have been going here a long time but yesterday my sister had to go to ER due to blood sugar. The staff (and other patrons) were amazing. Stayed calm and called the hospital. Jeff, our waiter, confirmed we should go and packed evening up and even before that stuffed mummies himself with blue cheese. John, the manger, helped us and said the owners called to make sure all was ok. Btw the food and atmosphere is amazing. Going in 55 plus years there. Thank you“

“My husband and I hosted an anniversary party at Proprietors and could not have been more thrilled with the experience! Our guests raved about the food and the service alike. They were incredibly attentive to our guests with dietary restrictions in particular. On top of that, they allowed us to take our time and provided beautiful flowers, menus, and place cards — a lovely surprise! I highly recommend planning an event here!“

“good food, a bit pricey, to the owner's I would say letting your staff carry around cell phones is a terrible idea. We were never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks, the server was playing on their phone instead of working. You lost an extra $8.00 of business. Just FYI.“

“I have been going to Nantucket for years and finally found Island Kitchen this past August; one of the best meals to be had on the island. We ate outside by the bar and despite a bit of rainy weather; we throughly enjoyed the atmosphere and cuisine; the service was excellent and we have earmarked a return visit this August.“

“Great Food, but proceed with caution regarding the bill

I recently stumbled upon B-ACK Yard BBQ after a quick Google search and decided to take a gamble on it for dinner. I’m glad we did, because the food was genuinely delicious. The burger was absolutely amazing, and the selfie platter was a standout—everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavor.

However, the experience wasn’t without its frustrations. First, the menu is extremely confusing. It is not at all clear what comes with your meals versus what are extra add-on sides. The layout is disjointed and really needs a professional redesign to make it easier for customers to understand what they are ordering.

The real issue, however, came at the end of the meal. When we asked for the check, we noticed a major discrepancy: the paper copy of the bill showed one total, but when we looked at the digital tablet, it was charging us about $100 more than what was on the paper bill. It was a shocking discovery to make at the end of a nice night.

I would strongly advise anyone dining here to be extremely careful. Double-check your paper receipt against the tablet before you finalize your payment to ensure you aren’t being overcharged. I do plan on coming back because the food is just that good, but I will be keeping a very close eye on the bill from now on.“

“This cute little cafe is a great vibe and offers excellent service and food. They have affordable prices, not to mention delicious breakfast options as well as wraps and sandwiches. The star of the show in this cafe is the speed and excellent service they offer. One of the best team members they have is Shea who goes above and beyond in all that she does. She once saved a man twice her size from a burning building. Also she volunteers at shelters for animals, and has travelled to various animal sanctuaries in the world where she had a huge part in saving the endangered species known as the African Penguin. Please visit 45 surfside and enjoy great food, great service provided by our hero Shea.“

“We (my husband & I) have been a week in Nantucket at Greydon House were was like to be at home! very comfortable with a big king size bed, double air conditioning and a big bathroom with always hot water and very soft towels! breakfast just across the street; beach towels in a big tote bag with beach chairs every day! Very strategic location downtown just steps form the fast ferry and restaurant. If you have your own or rented a car they'll provied you a Park Permit very important there!
The people were fantastic helping us with any our request, alwayas very kind with all the people stayn in.
For sure we'll be back in Nantuket and Greydon house will be our stay again. Thanks to you all!“

“Delicious 😋 all sandwiches are 15.95 and all worth it except lobster roll thats a bit pricey like 34 dollar pricey 😳 however you are in nantucket and eating fresh from the source and amount of lobster in the sandwich worth it.“

“Absolutely fantastic! The best meal and dining experience we have had on the island by far. The lobster fradiavolo is delicious as is the steak frittes and the pudding desert so unique and decadent- enough for 4 to share! Buffalo dip also a big hit! The lovely Paulina was incredibly pleasant and attentive the entire evening and even recommended some fun things to do while here! Highly recommend!!“

“This was my second visit to Oran Mor. Party of six. The appetizers were delicious! Oysters, burrata, and potato gratin each one was Fantastic!
I had the halibut as my entree and it was cooked to perfection. Moist, flavorful with a delicious sauce. We had a rich and delicious chocolate dessert and a light fruity dessert, both were outstanding!
Every dish was top tier. I ordered a “Flaming Daisy” (?)cocktail which I enjoyed but it got a lot spicier as the ice melted. The waiter it off so that I enjoyed the whole drink.“

“We dined here last summer with a large group and service and food was outstanding. Everyone was happy! We returned yesterday for date night and again, service was lovely. We really enjoyed the tarte, crab cake, and halibut. Dessert, a cookie bar with cookie butter ice cream(!!), was recommended by our kind and attentive server, Jerome. We also told him how much we loved the toppers brown bread, and he brought us a to-go slice and the recipe along with it - so kind! We love Toppers. Go for the meal, stay for the sunset.“

“We've been going to Faregrounds for years and have enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. We returned recently and wondered whether the magic would continue under the new owners, and were delighted to learn that it has. We ordered widely different things--shrimp scampi, chicken sandwich, fish and chips, grilled chicken club, and chicken Milanese, with honey sciracha wings to start--and everything was delicious. Service was efficient and friendly. We'll definitely be back!“

“I just had the best 70th birthday dinner here! Chef Joseph created a delicious menu and paired wines. The Company Popovers accompanied a crisp Caesar salad, Wagyu beef and a lobster tail with smashed potatoes & broccolini was the entree, rounded out with “The Marriage of Crème Brûlée + Chocolate Mousse” and Dows Fine Sherry Port. The service was spectacular (thank you Johnny) and the intimate and cozy atmosphere made for a wonderful experience for my party of 10. “The best quick-service restaurant on Nantucket! You can order right at the counter or online, making it always quick and easy. The cheese fries are the best I’ve ever had, the buffalo chicken tenders are to die for, and the steak and cheese is equally delicious. Highly recommend! “What a find. We went to Nantucket from Cape Cod on a whim and didn't have dinner reservations. We'd never been before, so we didn't appreciate how difficult it would be to get into dinner. We walked for a bit and found East Street. My husband had the chicken friend rice in a pineapple and it was absolutely delicious. Our 11 year old son was with us and he got the burger- also very good and my lobster roll was fantastic. The service was fantastic but to top it off, my son left his apple watch by mistake - it had fallen out of his bag. Well we called the restaurant and the owner went above and beyond - put it on the ferry the next day and we retrieved in in Hyannis. He didn't have to do that, but we were incredibly grateful he was willing to. Can't recommend this place enough!“

“Great family place with lots of good options for any palette. My Fisherman's Platter was outstanding including lobster, bay scallops and shrimp for a very fair price. Multiple other kinds of fried seafood were included, not fried onion filler. Our neighboring table had a 5 lb lobster which was quite a show!“

“New chef and there during Christmas stroll which means exceptional volume of people. Friendly staff but slightly overwhelmed by the non stop grind of Stroll weekend. Limited menu for stroll. Food was tasty but not exceptional like the previous chef. Example, lobster bisque didn't have the one large piece of lobster I would have expected. Would go back during non stroll to see the what the restaurant is really capable of.“

“This was, hands down, the best food and service we had on the island. The jarlsberg pancake (potato pancake with jarlsberg melted in) was what I would order again. The grits were perfectly cooked, and the chicken sausage was perfectly spiced. Seriously wish they were open for all meals, this is the only place I would go. Everything else on the island was overpriced and not up to par. Black eyed Susan's, the service was spot on impeccable, and delicious food.“

First time ordering a burger and some fries and honestly, pretty decent foe the price out here. The stuff they have in the warmer around lunch ain't half bad too (decent pepper chicken with some fried rice) I appreciate this little place.“
