50 Best American Restaurants near Yarmouth Port

“Having dined at Il Montebelo (Dining on the property), many times and looking out at the golf course I have always wanted to play it. I finally made a tee time with a friend and recently played it. I was not disappointed. While it is a shorter course, with only 1 par 5, 3 par 4’s and the rest part 3’s, it taps out at a deceiving par 60 for 18 holes. It is surrounded by woods and lots of trees on each hole and there are over 400 residences on the property as well, many overlooking the golf course. We were lucky enough to have been paired up with a gentleman who had played it a few times before and that was very helpful. The course is very spread out and has a long distance between some greens to the next tee. There are numerous hills, so unless you are a mountain goat, I don’t think you’d enjoy walking it. I always walk my relatively flat 9 hole course with no difficulty, but I would recommend you not walk this course. There are numerous hills, dog legs, bunkers galore, heavy rough, etc. to make this challenging for even a good golfer. The course is in great shape and the greens were excellent. There are trees everywhere, no ocean views as this is located a ways from the bay side, but on that side of the Cape. Right off Rt.6A. I think if you like a challenge you’ll enjoy Kings Way. If you have the time try dining at Il Montebelo too. If not come back and try it another time. I believe it is open all year.“

“I bet I know what you need. You need a little outing. Yes, you might consider stopping at Jack's Outback. Why? Because it is what makes the day much more pleasant. Jack's is tucked cozily back from the road, you may miss it if you are not careful. Yet, where else are you going to get beautiful surroundings, a lovely pet to greet you, the best breakfast or lunch and waitresses that are so accommodating that you feel welcome as if they were waiting for your arrival. We have enjoyed their company and eats for years: the restaurant is spotless, the meals are excellently prepared and the company is lovely. The owner has adapted to the COVID 19 restrictions far and above what was required. And as the restrictions set in, she became more inventive. Her goal, how to make the journey a pleasant one, though we were all very frightened, I am sure she was to, but she did all she could to protect us and give us a breather if just for a few minutes. “We LOVE Ann & Fran’s. Best breakfast on the Cape. Their fresh squeezed OJ is a treat, their fresh baked goods are amazing, and the menu items are unique and so so delicious! When the lemon poppy waffle with blueberry compote is on the specials menu, get it!“

“My wife recently threw me a surprise birthday party here. From my end, it was amazing! The venue had enough room for about 60 guests and a 6 piece band. Funktapuss. Everything went so smooth from the initial surprise reveal to the food and bar service. The kitchen did an amazing job serving everyone with hot food and everyone I spoke with said their meal was delicious. I had the flat iron steak. It was cooked perfectly and was delicious! The bartender did a great job of keeping everyone happy. I have attached a couple photos. I would highly recommend The West End for a special occasion. My wife told me everyone was very helpful, especially Carolyn.“

On the bad news, Debbie at bar was abrupt, not friendly and a disappointment from what we are use to. On the very good news, CJ was fantastic. “We went on a date night here last night and it was so good we took our family and mother in law back here tonight. Food was SO good and service was great- both our waitresses were super sweet. My mother in law said it was the best flatbread she has ever had and I absolutely loved the ceviche. We will definitely be back when we are in the cape again!“

“The Portside is one of me and my husband's favorite restaurants when we're in Hyannis. The food is consistently delicious. We especially love the potato skins, egg rolls, steak tips and, of course, the pizza! The drinks are always excellent and the staff is friendly. We've never had a bad meal at the Portside. Plus, the vibe is always fun.“

“Got the GCG, it was bacon tomato and cheese, incredible. I could eat two easily. The other stuff on the menu looked amazing too, seemed like there was a variety of different things everyone was ordering. Food came out hot and quick, the woman even delivered it to us as we sat on the patio and relaxed. Staff was very friendly.

I wouldn’t mind a pickle or maybe a few fries too for the price but honestly with or without a small side thrown in I’d order again no questions.“

So many places fall down on the wine list and pairing knowledge, this is not the case at The Pheasant. Texture, taste, ingredients, presentation, wine pairings, all were spot on! “We were at The Auld Triangle this past Saturday. The food, drink and atmosphere were fantastic. The wait staff was amazing. The music was unbelievable. Keohane and Kenneally played great Irish tunes and music from the 70s, 80s, etc. If you have not seen them play, make it a point to The Auld to hear them play. You need try The Auld Triangle. You will not be disappointed, and will become a regular, which I am going to become.“

“This has a local, hometown feeling. It's not fancy, but it's friendly, and the food is good. They had a good choice of items for specials. There were four of us and we had a variety of items. Fish and chips changed to onion rings, a cheeseburger, and fish tacos with rice and beans. The decor is witty and darling. From the name and story of the name of the restaurant, to the cute signs and decor. Diane was our waitress and she treated us like family. The prices are fair. We then walked across the street and walked the beach and caught some breathtaking pictures as the sun was going down“

Over the years, this has become one of those places we truly look forward to visiting every time we come back. The staff is always incredibly friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel right at home. The food is consistently delicious, with great portions and that wonderful homemade feel. My wife especially loves the home fries! 😋
