“Must have new owners or something. People answering the phone barely understand English, nevermind speak it properly. Wait times are up and orders are frequently wrong. Food quality is getting questionable for example the steak and cheese sub is different. Very disappointed, was my favorite neighborhood market and deli. DO BETTER!!!”

“I bet I know what you need. You need a little outing. Yes, you might consider stopping at Jack's Outback. Why? Because it is what makes the day much more pleasant. Jack's is tucked cozily back from the road, you may miss it if you are not careful. Yet, where else are you going to get beautiful surroundings, a lovely pet to greet you, the best breakfast or lunch and waitresses that are so accommodating that you feel welcome as if they were waiting for your arrival. We have enjoyed their company and eats for years: the restaurant is spotless, the meals are excellently prepared and the company is lovely. The owner has adapted to the COVID 19 restrictions far and above what was required. And as the restrictions set in, she became more inventive. Her goal, how to make the journey a pleasant one, though we were all very frightened, I am sure she was to, but she did all she could to protect us and give us a breather if just for a few minutes. Thank you Donna.”

“I had family staying at the resort so we thought we'd go have a drink and catch some live music here. I'm not sure this would be the place I'd go for a good dinner but the drinks were good and the bar service was attentive. The live music was good and the vibe was fun. The couple next to us got nachos that they said was very good. My sister and I order a side of fries to munch on but the order was super small. I'd go back for a drink but probably not to eat.”

“I absolutely love Great Awakening, specifically for their matcha lattes with homemade almond milk. The best I’ve had of all the coffee shops I’ve tried.. so frothy! I feel welcomed every time I walk in and have found a place for peace. Highly recommend!”

“My wife recently threw me a surprise birthday party here. From my end, it was amazing! The venue had enough room for about 60 guests and a 6 piece band. Funktapuss. Everything went so smooth from the initial surprise reveal to the food and bar service. The kitchen did an amazing job serving everyone with hot food and everyone I spoke with said their meal was delicious. I had the flat iron steak. It was cooked perfectly and was delicious! The bartender did a great job of keeping everyone happy. I have attached a couple photos. I would highly recommend The West End for a special occasion. My wife told me everyone was very helpful, especially Carolyn.”

“We LOVE Ann & Fran’s. Best breakfast on the Cape. Their fresh squeezed OJ is a treat, their fresh baked goods are amazing, and the menu items are unique and so so delicious! When the lemon poppy waffle with blueberry compote is on the specials menu, get it!”

“Not 5 stars because we were celebrating my sister’s birthday and the restaurant made zero acknowledgment of it—no candle, no small dessert, no “happy birthday” written on a plate, nothing. For a high-end tasting menu ($145+), that level of hospitality is disappointing and makes it feel impersonal for a special occasion.

That said, the food itself was excellent and easily five-star quality—beautifully executed, creative, and memorable. I would recommend it for the food alone, but not for birthdays or any celebration where you expect even a small gesture.”
