“I bet I know what you need. You need a little outing. Yes, you might consider stopping at Jack's Outback. Why? Because it is what makes the day much more pleasant. Jack's is tucked cozily back from the road, you may miss it if you are not careful. Yet, where else are you going to get beautiful surroundings, a lovely pet to greet you, the best breakfast or lunch and waitresses that are so accommodating that you feel welcome as if they were waiting for your arrival. We have enjoyed their company and eats for years: the restaurant is spotless, the meals are excellently prepared and the company is lovely. The owner has adapted to the COVID 19 restrictions far and above what was required. And as the restrictions set in, she became more inventive. Her goal, how to make the journey a pleasant one, though we were all very frightened, I am sure she was to, but she did all she could to protect us and give us a breather if just for a few minutes. “Having dined at Il Montebelo (Dining on the property), many times and looking out at the golf course I have always wanted to play it. I finally made a tee time with a friend and recently played it. I was not disappointed. While it is a shorter course, with only 1 par 5, 3 par 4’s and the rest part 3’s, it taps out at a deceiving par 60 for 18 holes. It is surrounded by woods and lots of trees on each hole and there are over 400 residences on the property as well, many overlooking the golf course. We were lucky enough to have been paired up with a gentleman who had played it a few times before and that was very helpful. The course is very spread out and has a long distance between some greens to the next tee. There are numerous hills, so unless you are a mountain goat, I don’t think you’d enjoy walking it. I always walk my relatively flat 9 hole course with no difficulty, but I would recommend you not walk this course. There are numerous hills, dog legs, bunkers galore, heavy rough, etc. to make this challenging for even a good golfer. The course is in great shape and the greens were excellent. There are trees everywhere, no ocean views as this is located a ways from the bay side, but on that side of the Cape. Right off Rt.6A. I think if you like a challenge you’ll enjoy Kings Way. If you have the time try dining at Il Montebelo too. If not come back and try it another time. I believe it is open all year.”

“I had family staying at the resort so we thought we'd go have a drink and catch some live music here. I'm not sure this would be the place I'd go for a good dinner but the drinks were good and the bar service was attentive. The live music was good and the vibe was fun. The couple next to us got nachos that they said was very good. My sister and I order a side of fries to munch on but the order was super small. I'd go back for a drink but probably not to eat.”

“I absolutely love Great Awakening, specifically for their matcha lattes with homemade almond milk. The best I’ve had of all the coffee shops I’ve tried.. so frothy! I feel welcomed every time I walk in and have found a place for peace. Highly recommend!”

“My wife recently threw me a surprise birthday party here. From my end, it was amazing! The venue had enough room for about 60 guests and a 6 piece band. Funktapuss. Everything went so smooth from the initial surprise reveal to the food and bar service. The kitchen did an amazing job serving everyone with hot food and everyone I spoke with said their meal was delicious. I had the flat iron steak. It was cooked perfectly and was delicious! The bartender did a great job of keeping everyone happy. I have attached a couple photos. I would highly recommend The West End for a special occasion. My wife told me everyone was very helpful, especially Carolyn.”

“Genuinely exceptional ice cream richly flavored. The coffee ice cream had real coffee in it, and the peanut butter real peanuts. Texture was excellent, as well, smooth and not grainy, and whipped just enough so that it melts on the tongue. The hot fudge was also delicious and authentic - not ersatz cocoa but real chocolate. Costs a little more but worth every penny. Service was also friendly and responsive.”
