We love Island Kitchen and have been coming for years. The food is always consistent and fresh. That being said, the gentleman that waited on us was awful. It's the second time he has served us, and both experiences were terrible. We waited for a long time for our bottle of Prosecco even though it was sitting on the bar for 10 minutes. In the sea of pretentious mediocre overpriced Nantucket restaurants, Island Kitchen stands out for its exceptional creative dishes, prepared to perfection and served by a wonderful staff in a relaxed atmosphere.
Frankly this restaurant is one of the very best on Nantucket; however being outside of Town it doesn't get all the accolades it deserves. From appetizers to dessert our group of 8 had wonderfully prepared and delicious meals and appetizers; food allergies are taken very seriously which is gratefully appreciated. Thank you to the entire staff for taking great care of us all. Hats off to the Bar and Kitchen crew too!! Job well done 👍
