We enjoyed my wife's birthday at Oran Mor. The service was excellent, as was the food. We shared the Kale salad and the ‘Recelet' cheese starter. I had the Veniaon which was so good. My wife had the seafood tagine, and my daughter had the black truffle pasta. The portion size was perfect. The venison was cooked to perfection. We shared the coffee doughnut dessert - incredible - definitely will go back. Noise level was a bit loud.
My party of 4 overall was content with their meals. I had the Long Island Duck. It was tasty but the portion was small leaving me hungry after the meal.
We had a fabulously cozy and romantic date night. The food was outstanding and the service wonderfully attentive. We will definitely be back for more!
Appetizers, bread, and pea salad were delicious. Drinks were hit or miss. Entrees were trying to hard with a mix of weird flavors - maybe trying too hard. The service was fantastic (attentive and warm) and space was interesting (think old school whaling charm). As more tables filled in for the 6:30/7pm seatings, it became harder to hear conversation at our own table. The bill was much higher than expected, as the price for the specials was not disclosed, even for ACK. $28 for potato cheese starter (special of the day) was a bit steep, and $40 for half pasta special (2x the other pasta dishes). I'd maybe give them another try for the apps and drinks, then maybe again not.
Superb food- creative menu, perfect execution. Service was amazing, wine list is curated to the menu super-well and has a range from great values through super cool rarities. We'd go back again in a second... and will on our next visit!
This is a favorite among many locals and long time Nantucket's. It doesn't have the flare of some of the other restaurants that commonly come up on top 10 lists for Nantucket, but it is underrated with excellent food excellent service, excellent cocktails, and wine and is not to miss. If you're looking for a quieter evening, this will not disappoint
We had an amazing time and look forward to to many more times at your wonderful restaurant
had such an amazing time here with my future wife the pasta was so bomb and the halibut melted in our mouths. 11/10
As a family of four, two adults and two teens, we were eager to try Òran Mór Bistro after hearing great things. Nestled in a charming old house just off the harbor, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, with intimate dining rooms that feel personal and cozy. The food showcased thoughtful flavors, excellent technique, and a balance of refined and approachable dishes that pleased both adults and teens.
We were lucky enough to book a reservation at this gem... first off, the chef came to our table a couple of times to explain how he just was able to get his hands on truffles from Australia (truffle season)! That being said, I had to try to the truffle bucatini which included shaved white and dark truffles over the top.. let's just say I'm back home now and DREAMING about it... truly a masterpiece. Let's not forget the grilled octopus and pork belly appetizer... again, we all agreed that the octopus was so tender and was perfectly complimented by the pork belly. The other parties I was with had the tagine and the halibut, both so full of fresh flavors and perfectly flavored ... We also had to try the "candy bar" for dessert, again amazing! A shout out to all the staff at this establishment who could not have been nicer or more attentive! I am literally counting the days to come back here again... BRAVO!!!

This was the best meal we had on the Island. Food was great. Service exceptional. Definitely would come back
For $300, they first put us at the worst table in the house. They shouldn't even have a table like that. Smaller than two train seats. In an area smaller than a train bathroom. They did find a nice table on the deck. But we lost out on the lovely ambience inside.
Amazing food and incredible service in this charming, second floor restaurant. The meal was well paced and allowed us time to really savor the experience, and all of the staff were welcoming and attentive.
We often choose Oran Mor for a celebrative dinner while on a Nantucket vacation. It never disappoints. Food is always fresh and delicious. The menu changes but remains anchored in local produce and fish. Desserts are always fun. Last night we ate: haddock in a Moroccan tangine preparation and delicious duck preceded by spring pea and wildflower salad and finished with coffee and a chocolate dipped donut with flat white ice cream and lots of garnishes. Yum!
by far my favorite restaurant on the island. a hidden gem. all of the detail and love that goes into every dish and cocktails leaves you both amazed and fulfilled. everything was outstanding and wonderful.
