Very unique place with the rail car for the bar. Breakfast and dinner were both spectacular. Service was outstanding.
We were at the bar in the dining room...thankfully. Noise from the other bar was excessive, even through the wall. Bros were wild on a holiday Friday night. Bartender had a great personality, we enjoyed fish chowder and the schnitzel. Limited wine list by the glass, but overall a solid B.
Home fries were unmatched!

Interesting stop just for a drink. Very overpriced, as is just about everything on the island. Enjoyable but would probably skip it next time.

Excellent breakfast! Frittata and Johnny cakes. Best hash browns ever. Stopped here after Black Eyed Susan Cafe refused to seat us because of my service dog.

Party of 4 excited to try Club Car. Ordered caesar salad, calamari and corn chowder. Salad heavily dressed but overall fine. Calamari had some kind of chili glaze on it which made the batter soggy. Not good. The corn chowder was the highlight. We ordered 3 halibut dishes and the 1/2 roasted chicken dish for our meals. We wait 40 mins. Finally the 3 fish dishes come out. OVERCOOKED and like rubber. No chicken dish. Waited another 10 mins for the chicken. Not great. They comp'ed us for the halibut. Not a good showing for the food but the server was very sweet and apologetic.
Excellent food and service. Nice rolls, Caesar salad and filet mignon all very good. Brownie Sundae was great. Martini was very strong but that is ok!
We had hoped to have dinner at another Nantucket restaurant in town this evening but the walk-in tables were already taken when we arrived. We thought that we would give The Club Car another try as we had a not so good dinner there years ago and hoped that they might have improved the quality of their food. We ordered chowder and 2 appetizers to share. The corn and lobster chowder was good but the salad was soggy and had no flavor and the crab cake we shared tasted old and was inedible. Two appetizers, two cups of chowder and 2 glasses of sparkling wine was $160 before the tip. So much for dinner ever again at The Club Car. On another note, our server was polite and attentive.

We had the pleasure of sitting at the bar with Lexi who served us with a beautiful smile and great energy
Food was great. Drink was below average. That was a bummer. Was quiet in there at 7:30 but then picked up.
The server from the moment she greeted us made it obvious she didn't want to be there. I was told the halibut was the best meal on the menu but it was dry and very mediocre. Then we were told the strawberry shortcake was the best dessert and that dessert was not even enjoyable a little bit.
Delicious meal great watering hole. Everyone here is helpful and pleasant! Downtown Nantucket.

Wasn’t able to get a reservation on line (sold out) but they were able accommodate us at the bar. Great service and drinks. Food a little underwhelming given the reputation and the price. Not bad, mind you, just average. Kind of like the chef has lost interest in dazzling…. Cool atmosphere.
