Allspice in the stuffed grape leaves make them worth coming back for, not something I think I've ever said about stuffed grape leaves before. Most unforgettable was the red lentil soup with its soft rich velvety texture over two or three layers of different delicious flavors. After driving past this restaurant a gazillion times, I said, " You know we have to try that restaurant out" and finally we did and at a very busy time around seven . They didn't have any tables available as this restaurant is small and came at peak hour but we managed to get a couple seats at the bar. We had the best baba ghanoush, the lamb, Adana, and chicken kebab..,it was delicious!!!!!! the salad was delicious too! And the pistachio Halva dessert was divine with goat ice cream! The main thing is our meal was fresh! They were also a lot of takeout orders so I think this restaurant is a no-brainer for me. If I need to entertain people, I will probably order a bunch of kebabs from them and know the quality would be fabulous because it's small. It was a little hectic when I was there since food was being passed along the table with an empty stool next to me at the bar. But I get it. It's busy! I would like to come in when it's a little quieter maybe around five I have a more calming dining experience!“

“We we order from Stardust for my mother’s 91st birthday party. The food was fabulous. The falafel were so light and wonderful. All of the meats disappeared immediately-so flavorful and tender-and the vegetables were great for both vegetarians and mediators. Truly a great experience.“

Price: depending on what you ask (+tax) comes out to $12-$15. Most food places around the square are “pricey”, but Cava is definitely a HEALTHIER option than most places

“I ordered catering from Cafe Mangal for a work event. They were so nice and helped me through my order (getting the right amount of food for the number of people I had, picking out vegetarian and meat options, etc). I highly recommend the Turkish enginar and their chicken dardanelle! Everything was so delicious- I will definitely be returning.“

“Expected more, especially for the price. The meat was precut, not from the spit, and cold. Putting it on the grill makes the pita bread hard and inelastic but the insides still saty cold. Ordering process was quite chaotic - several people were making the roll ups, switching places, all asking us about the ingredients. At that, two of the three people did not speak English. The size of the roll ups was rather small for $11. Overall, ok but our preference would be to have a less stressful ordering process, warmer meat and cleaner bathroom. For $16-17 a platter, there could also be a waitee, not “fast food approach”.“

“It's unfortunate when an interaction with the manager taints your experience. There was confusion able the total number of guests we had because there was an infant. The manager walked up to me with immediate attitude before having even spoken to me. They had us at a table that could have fit a high chair or addition chair at the end as it was in front of a column but would not allow us to up one there. So instead we were crammed into the booth side with the infancy car seat. Regardless of where the failure in communication happened, there was absolutely no reason to start off our dining experience with rudeness, attitude and inflexibility. It unfortunately tainted the experience and will not make us returning customers at this location.“

“I’m honestly glad that I waited to post my original review with a lower rating and thought through the experience a little bit more. As always, I find it a bit harder to review fusion spots. Not just any fusion either, but one that is all over the world map. It’s easy to just nitpick one dish and use it to judge everything else; but what about that is remotely fair?

For example, their Beef Rendang (a dish that I’m very familiar with - including the different regional renditions) is more like a hint towards what “real” Beef Rendang is. I don’t even need to speak on behalf of the Filipinos regarding their adobo (which I also grew up on) who are infamous to show up on public forums to criticize and say “that’s not how my grandmother makes it” (lol).

What did come to mind is the old quote that many often find negative but actually was meant to be a positive phrase (if the last part isn’t so often omitted). “Jack of all trades, master of none, though often times better than a master of one”.

That definitely applies here with their style of food. There’s a lot going on and a good portal to the true potential of each dish. Definitely give them a try! Portions are good and the food is definitely tasty!“
