too over priced. the food is nasty and the place is insanitary! i wasted $12 on a chicken bomb that was absolutely disgusting! i chose this place to waste money on and the food was gross! i promise I'll never go there again. got some nerve over charging customers for disgusting food!

Avoid the North End Crown Fried Chicken on Acushnet Avenue — they have zero respect for customers’ time or money.

After physical therapy Thu night (7/31/25), I was completely wiped out and called ahead to place an order for their mixed grill, lamb and chicken on rice. I told them clearly I was taking an Uber and needed the food ready on time. They said “15 minutes.” I gave them an extra 15 minutes on top of that just to make sure everything would be ready when I arrived.

I show up — and not only is my food not ready, they hadn’t even started it.

The guy behind the counter just smiled like it was some kind of joke and asked if I “wanted to wait.” No apology, no urgency, nothing. Just straight-up disrespect. This is the second time this exact thing has happened. Two weeks ago, same location, same nonsense, and I got stuck paying extra Uber charges while they took their sweet time. No apology that time either.

I don’t care how good this dish is — when a business repeatedly wastes your time and money and treats it like a joke, they don’t deserve your business. I will never be back to this location, and I highly suggest others steer clear unless you enjoy being ignored, disrespected, and left waiting.
If I could give this zero stars I would.

As far as fried chicken spots go, i give it 5 stars.. the chicken is what you would expect from any crown early in the day. Fresh and good.. but why it's 5 stars instead of 4 is because the guy at the front was really cool. I usually just grab and go, but i was with my kids, so we sat down to eat.. he was like a real waiter and made it easy for a dad and twin daughters to have a peaceful time. So good it was worth leaving this review.
