“This place is the total package. Everything on the menu is delicious and a little different from the norm. My personal favorite is the edamame dumplings. The staff are a glowing reflection of their manager, Mike. All are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable enough to make appropriate recommendations for both food and drinks. The space is small, but it is cozy and tastefully decorated with original paintings of historical figures tied to New Bedford. The cocktails are creative and tasty. They make the absolute best Old Fashioned I've ever had.”

“NOBODY does it like Hazuki does it. Do you see those thick and Lucious Salmon nigiri? They have the most generous salmon portions in the game and it’s not even close. We order take out from them nearly every Friday night. Their rolls are delicious, I love the pink lady and chorishi’s fire. We typically get 3-4 orders of salmon nigiri or a Sake Don.

From the outside, the place is unassuming- but don’t let that fool you. Their sushi is top notch compared to the other local options (and believe me we’ve had them all many times). They have the perfect ratio of rice to delicious salmon.

There is sometimes a little bit of a wait on busy nights like Friday when they get backed up(they’re worth the wait), but they’ll call you when your food is ready and it’s always fresh.

We also trust their food safety standards. We’ve been late ourselves a few times and on these occasions they grab our sushi from the fridge. Most places I’ve been to just leave it on the counter, but these guys go the extra mile so you don’t get food poisoning which we appreciated.”

“We recently had our firefighter's ball for the New Bedford Fire Department at the Vault. Across the board, it was an exceptional experience. The manager, Courtney, was masterful in helping us plan and coordinate our event, menu, decorations, and entertainment. During the event the food was great, the staff was excellent, and the location in the heart of downtown New Bedford was perfect with nearby parking garages and lots of good bars and restaurants for the end of the night within an easy walk. We will be looking forward to returning again next year!”

There was female staff member who was yelling on the phone to some guy and then went outside in her uniform and was yelling and I mean yelling right in front of the restaurant so loudly, we could hear her from inside. Very unprofessional. I went there to study and after a few hours I couldn't concentrate anymore because of how obnoxious they were being. Not looking to go back anytime soon. It's too bad because it use to be so wonderful with wonderful workers who were the best.”

I would give 5 stars but the older lady that works there only wears the same 2 cat print shirts and red Christmas pants every day, she doesn’t cover her mouth when she coughs over the food… and she coughs multiple times every minute every single time I’m there. Not once have I seen her cover her mouth. Hygiene and food safety is important when working with food. I ask for coffee in the morning, not coughy. Everybody else is wonderful. 5 stars for them.”

The baker patiently explained what the different pastries were as we filled our box. Our favorite were the small cinnamon dusted egg custard tarts. So many things looks so good that we'll have to go back again next time we're in town to try them. The storefront is very plain and easy to miss (we drove right by it the first time) so be on the lookout for it.”

You can tell it was well made and they put in a lot for their food. Even their chipotle sauce was phenomenal. If I ever come back from TN, I’m showing up again!”
