The Baker is a highly regarded eating establishment in New Bedford, known for its delicious and visually appealing food. Both sweet and savory options are available, with notable menu items including linguiça rolls, pain Suisse, breakfast sandwiches, and the popular Elote Avocado Toast. The bakery also offers a variety of pastries, bread pudding, cookies with rotating flavors, and coffee, especially iced lattes like mocha and caramel. The interior is clean, filled with natural light, and provides a hip and urban atmosphere. The open kitchen allows customers to watch the food being prepared, adding to the inviting vibe. Prices are reasonable, and the friendly staff often call customers by name, making visitors feel welcomed. Many praise the food as being so good that everything on the menu is a must-try, and they appreciate the lively, neighborhood setting. Although sometimes the linguiça cheese rolls sell out quickly, many still consider them the best, with perfect dough, ground linguica, and cheese. Visitors also enjoy the cookies, tea flavors like honey peach mango and salted cantaloupe, and the hot chocolate and chocolate croissants, which sell out especially in the mornings. The bakery is a place where people enjoy working, which contributes to its warm and inviting atmosphere, complemented by great music. Overall, The Baker is a favorite spot with something for everyone, making it a memorable destination for locals and visitors alike.
