“Economy prices for sure! We got a box of pastries to take home with us as well as rolls and it came to less than $20, which was a lot less than we expected. The baker patiently explained what the different pastries were as we filled our box. Our favorite were the small cinnamon dusted egg custard tarts. So many things looks so good that we'll have to go back again next time we're in town to try them. The storefront is very plain and easy to miss (we drove right by it the first time) so be on the lookout for it.“

“We highly recommend ANYTHING the Baker has available! There is a reason why he sells out of everything so quickly. Always fresh & amazing!“
“One of the few remaining Portuguese bakeries left. Locals have been picking up "pops" here for generations. You can't get bread like that at a grocery store. They also offer the classic deserts that they're known for, plus a few American choices..All delicious. It's good to see the they have survived even with competition right across the street.“

“We had a very pleasant experience! The traditional Portuguese pastries were very delicious! We really recommend a visit to this bakery in case you are looking for a taste of Portugal! Wonderful customer service and very cute renovation work!“
“Although these are the ONLY crumpets I've ever had, they quickly became my favorite breakfast. I eat these several times a week, and now that I've learned that they are local, I'll be continuing (happily) to support their business. Way better than English muffins. Hard to describe but they are delicious. I toast in my Ninja Air Fryer for 3:30 on each side (flip over), then eat with butter and strawberry jam.“

“We received a box of these cookies after a transaction at NBCU, and they are great!! Awesome flavors and very fresh. I only wish that there were flavors on the packages...we had to look at the ingredients to figure it out! But we managed, and we loved them!!“

“This place used to be so good. Its so gorgeous inside. I went in a few days ago and the staff, although very nice, were acting very immature. There was lots of loud swearing. There was female staff member who was yelling on the phone to some guy and then went outside in her uniform and was yelling and I mean yelling right in front of the restaurant so loudly, we could hear her from inside. Very unprofessional. I went there to study and after a few hours I couldn't concentrate anymore because of how obnoxious they were being. Not looking to go back anytime soon. It's too bad because it use to be so wonderful with wonderful workers who were the best.“

“Great corner Portuguese Bakery.
Parking: They're located on a small corner street, so parking can be difficult if you don't want to walk a little bit, but don't let that stop you from going. The food is very good.“

“I was visiting the area and decided to go to Tia Maria’s in New Bedford for breakfast. I had the most amazing Natas of my life.
I wanted to order a dozen right there and then and they did not have enough.
Then I was sent to the source! This bakery is overall amazing. I came for the natas and came out with more bread than I should have lol
The costumer service was phenomenal. Payment can be made in cash or card.
I will definitely go back when I visit the area.“
