“My daughter had her heart set on a milifoglie cake for her wedding. When our original bakery cancelled Lauren came to the rescue. There are very few bakers that can make this cake but she could and she did! I can't imagine anyone doing it better, it was soooo delicious. I would recommend Wingate's over and over again.“

“I go there on Sundays to get there malasadas . I don't know if I spelt that right but it's a Portuguese donut . They have been around for years . I love them . You have to go to this bakery if you want them right . The service there isn't bad. Some of the girls are young and you might have to say the same thing twice . Some mornings the line is down the street . It's worth the wait !“

“The food here is very good and atmosphere is quaint. Can’t beat the baked goods either! My one constructive criticism is the plating of the sandwiches could use a bit of help. If you order a sandwich, that’s exactly what you’ll get and it will be tasty but adding a pickle spear and a handful of potato chips would make all the difference in the world in the presentation. Either that or serve sandwiches on smaller plates bc they look lonely on the larger ones. Thank you.“
“When you want delicious hot bread and pastries you should come here. The Portuguese rolls are slightly crisp on the outside with an exquisite tenderness inside. We also tried the apple pastry!!! It was DELICIOUS!!! It was as good as the mouth watering fried apple pies my grandmother made!!!
The sweet little lady who serves us early has a gentle helpful kindness that I equate with the Portuguese mature community!

“I have never been here before and I've gone down the street many times. Very minimal advertising or none at all actually. Happened to park across the street, looked over and seen a line inside and had to go check it out. I came close to closing & they were out of Chourico rolls but the lady said that she had a couple in the back she had put aside and I could have them!!! 😊 And actually gave me one for free! So it's basically a buy one get one and they were both very nice ladies in there! ONLY $3.00!!!! The taste was better than I imagined and they look amazing too!! 🤤“

“About a year ago these kids were fighting outside the store and making problems for the staff. The staff were stressed out and didn’t have the cookie I wanted, but they managed to still get me a cookie as the police were outside dealing with the kids so i’m grateful for the staff they had during this event.“

“We went with Confections Bakery for our wedding cake. The cake and cupcakes were beautiful and delicious. We decided on the lemon-raspberry with buttercream. “I haven’t been able to find crumpets in the grocery store for about 3 years. I ask about them but when I say crumpets no one has idea of what I am talking about. I was so excited when I went to Market Basket this week and they have them again. I love them with peanut butter on them. Hope they continue to carry them“

And this is one of the best stores i grew up with, I come here daily and they have all the good stuff with the perfect price, Everyone is very nice, Including Rei. “Tony’s raiding bread is amazing . I got it twice from Ocean State Job Lot . I also bought the rolls which are equally as good . I think I’m going to try a hamburger on one of Tony’s Rolls. The combination of sweet bread and juicy cheeseburger with relish should be a hit. Keep baking those great rolls Tony“

“Great people!! Easiest here is get off 195 to route 138. Take a left and go down. Once you pass elite gas station make a right turn on middle The first light. Then go dow to bay st an make a left. You will see the building on your right side. Hope this helps“

“Went on Saturday 11/22 an extremely busy shopping day but was looking forward to stopping for a coffee and cinnamon rolls. Shout out to the cashier with the hair (he knows) who was extremely helpful and personable. Also when paying it’s extremely clear that the part that says TIP would
be paying for a tip nvm the fact it ask for a dollar amount. I’m not sure how someone could get confused with that. Thanks for the help and good service!“
