“I cannot say enough good things about Lauren and Wingate's Cake Design! I will say, I absolutely love cake so I can be somewhat picky, but Lauren's cakes are absolutely delicious, and so beautiful to look at!
We hired Lauren to do our wedding cake, macaroons, and even some late-night red velvet cheesecakes, and everyone at our wedding raved about how delicious everything was! She helped with everything from cake flavors, to labels on the macaroon boxes, to recipe testing the cheesecake so it tasted like my husband and I's favorite from back home!
Lauren is an absolute joy to work with and I highly recommend her for any and every event!“

“The food here is very good and atmosphere is quaint. Can’t beat the baked goods either! My one constructive criticism is the plating of the sandwiches could use a bit of help. If you order a sandwich, that’s exactly what you’ll get and it will be tasty but adding a pickle spear and a handful of potato chips would make all the difference in the world in the presentation. Either that or serve sandwiches on smaller plates bc they look lonely on the larger ones. Thank you.“
“The bread is ridiculously good and the woman who works there is wonderfully helpful. She even called another bakery to help us find something we were looking for that she was out of and have us directions how to get there. The biggest loaf of bread I've ever bought cost $2.50! And it was so good that we drove 90 minutes a week later to go buy more.“

“We went with Confections Bakery for our wedding cake. The cake and cupcakes were beautiful and delicious. We decided on the lemon-raspberry with buttercream. The buttercream was not overly sweet which we loved. Overall delicious cake, beautiful detail. Would definitely go to them again for other occasions. ❤ Thank you! Pedro and Karen Esquilin 8.20.22“

“I haven’t been able to find crumpets in the grocery store for about 3 years. I ask about them but when I say crumpets no one has idea of what I am talking about. I was so excited when I went to Market Basket this week and they have them again. I love them with peanut butter on them. Hope they continue to carry them“

“Tony’s raiding bread is amazing . I got it twice from Ocean State Job Lot . I also bought the rolls which are equally as good . I think I’m going to try a hamburger on one of Tony’s Rolls. “Great people!! Easiest here is get off 195 to route 138. Take a left and go down. Once you pass elite gas station make a right turn on middle The first light. Then go dow to bay st an make a left. You will see the building on your right side. Hope this helps“

“Cookies were good but always sold out of something, also waited a hour and a half for a 6 pack one time which is ridiculous, they use to do curb side pickup which was great but they stopped doing that.

“Went on Saturday 11/22 an extremely busy shopping day but was looking forward to stopping for a coffee and cinnamon rolls. Shout out to the cashier with the hair (he knows) who was extremely helpful and personable. Also when paying it’s extremely clear that the part that says TIP would
be paying for a tip nvm the fact it ask for a dollar amount. I’m not sure how someone could get confused with that. Thanks for the help and good service!“

I needed the order shipped on Tuesday, if it ships on Thursday it sits in Chicago for the weekend. I grew up in Freetown, I now live in iowa (nowhere near linguica or sweet bread). “Just so others know- we just left… the linguica cheese rolls were EXACTLY the same! The cheese was smothered all over the plentiful linguica! The donuts are similar to what they use to be, but we miss the cruellers- but the Boston Cream is delish! The coffee- well I miss how they use to brew French Vanilla themselves, and they need to critique the cream ratios BUT otherwise was fine. Opening’s are hard, have a little faith and stop by and try it out to support them!“

When I stayed in New Bedford this is where my friend would take me to get these amazing stuffed churico n cheese rolls.. i usually take it home and add Cayenne pepper with a habanero sauce
The tiramisu cake is really amazing here. I’m picky
I use their sweet bread to make French toast and grilled cheeses. But I wait for the bread to be a lil stale to bring out the crunchies“

“We go here a few times a year. We ordered donuts today for my son's birthday. We did it through door dash. I wrote a little note asking for specific donuts that he would like. They gave us what we wanted, plus one extra, plus a little note. It's the little things in life that mean a lot to me. So i take appreciate that. It means we will keep going back.
