She said, "No worries, bring it next time. There will be a next time lol. We brought back as soon as we finished eating and have been back plenty of times since. Everyone is super nice and welcoming.“

“We were in town for a cub scout event and saw this bakery so we swung in. Parking is terrible, but that's the norm for the area. The shop itself is small but full of great choices and very friendly staff. The sweets were very good. I was also super surprised at the low cost. We bought four pastries and a loaf of sweet bread for about $14. When she told me the total I asked her to repeat herself because I was so surprised. In Cambridge it probably would have been closer to $25-30.“

Went on a Saturday at 11am and they were sold out, but the very nice lady said I could put in an order for the next day. So I did, and went at 7:45am just in case (they still had some large and 1 small left, no mediums) and it is AMAZING!On the same trip, I compared to ?Amaral's and Silver Star in providence. Lou's wins, hands down! So fresh, not at all crumbly. Will be taking a couple of rounds home, to see if it freezes well.“

She even called another bakery to help us find something we were looking for that she was out of and have us directions how to get there. The biggest loaf of bread I've ever bought cost $2.50! And it was so good that we drove 90 minutes a week later to go buy more.“

If you order a sandwich, that’s exactly what you’ll get and it will be tasty but adding a pickle spear and a handful of potato chips would make all the difference in the world in the presentation. Either that or serve sandwiches on smaller plates bc they look lonely on the larger ones. Thank you.“

“I've never actually been to the bakery myself. But I definitely will be making a stop. Every time I'm in my hometown of Uncasville CT we make a stop at ocean state job lot just for the Portuguese sweet bread and muffins. This is the only place I've ever seen them sold. We stock up on the and bring them home to Florida. They are the best. I only wish they'd shipped their items. But definitely recommend the sweet bread and muffins to everyone.“
