Hands down the best Papo Secos in the Greater New Bedford area. If you want hot, crusty, fresh out-of-the-oven bread, then Economy Bakery is hands down the best place to go. If you want Portuguese bread this is the place. I live the "Pastéis de Natas" always fresh. This appears to be a small family place CASH ONLY. You won't be disappointed!

Economy prices for sure! We got a box of pastries to take home with us as well as rolls and it came to less than $20, which was a lot less than we expected. The baker patiently explained what the different pastries were as we filled our box. Our favorite were the small cinnamon dusted egg custard tarts.
