Terrific pastries, some French-inspired but mostly traditional Portuguese. Inexpensive, no frills place. Everything is wonderful, especially their pasteis de nata and savory treats.
My new favorite New Bedford bakery. We sampled sweet and savory treats. The homemade delights we ate were all delicious. My man loved his Portuguese sweets. I tried a shrimp turnover that was so tasty. It's a chill spot and legit Azorean. Saturday they serve local soups

When my husband and I first moved to New Bedford, Beira Mar Bakery was strictly a Portuguese bakery. Now it seems that the new owner is Brazilian and is beginning to introduce Brazilian pastries into the case! Tried a couple of things and am excited to see how the menu grows. I look forward to trying their pão francês (you can order ahead via WhatsApp) and just really happy there is finally a brazilian bakery in New Bedford!
