“This place is great! It's the only place in the area that makes to-order fresh, all natural fruit and veggie smoothies and acai bowls and they are very delicious. They even make their own granola and delicious almond butter. I also enjoy the bliss balls and the fresh pressed juices are so delicious and healthy you want to go back for more. They even have these wellness shots to drink. It is a cute place and very welcoming. “Really good coffeeshop that provided a much-needed dose of caffeine while exploring the area. The iced latte was really satisfying, and the bagel with honey and cinnamon cream cheese was really unique and good. The baristas were super friendly, and the whole coffeeshop was welcoming and non-fussy.“
“This Tropical Smoothie location is one of the ONLY healthier fast casual options in the north end, and it’s always busy because of that fact. Folks complaining in other reviews have obviously never made a smoothie before, preparing the food takes time, because it’s actually made with real ingredients.The service and food have always been good and consistent. Most of the employees have also been there for a long time, which really describes how this place is being managed correctly.The secret is to order on the mobile app. Never do the drive thru because you never know if a minivan mom is going to be in front of you with a 5 smoothie order with 3 orders of food, and then expects the food to come out in less than 2 minutes.Prices have gone up, but they are very consistent with other fast casual places in the area.The most annoying part about Tropical Smoothie is that they use styrafoam cups for their smoothies, that’s more of a corporate (they are based in the South) issue rather than a franchise issue, so I am not going to fault them for that.“
“Just double check your smoothie before you leave the window. In the past 2 weeks we’ve had to turn around and go back to have our smoothies remade. Most of the servers are friendly. I’m allergic to Splenda and ask for my smoothie without it. They must have added it to one a few weeks ago as I had an upset stomach for a couple of days. No big deal but just double check before leaving to save time having to go back.“
“Today for the first time I went and tried it here for my decaf iced coffee. And then decided to try a donut. Oh my goodness. hands down, the best coffee and donuts I've ever had. It's incredible. Such a different taste to it all. In my opinion, it's just what we needed. 5 stars!“
