Overall everything was great! I'm just very picky about chicken wings. I like flats more than the drummies, and they only gave 2 flats the rest were drummies, and they were a little tough.
My husband's steak was overcooked and not edible. Our waitress was wonderful, attentive and did remove it from our bill
Sat at a table in the outside patio with a hole in the plastic table, very COLD with the cold wind blowing on my back. Told waitress if we could have it covered and she said NO that there was nothing she could do with it to just put up with it. Not pleasant at all... we left due to her being rude and not caring. We will not return and will tell friends and family and media to not take the chance of getting a RUDE waitress.
The best place in NB

Come to Fathoms for great seafood and drinks right on the waterfront in New Bedford.
Scallops, clams, scrod, haddock, oysters etc. are all served fresh. The drinks are poured generously and the vibe is lively!

1st time here. We thought the food was excellent. Given that the place was busy, we received good service. Prices were competitive with similar restaurants. The decor was clean but not a lot of ambiance. All things considered, we will be back.
Fathoms is consistent. Food is prepped nicely. Lots of fresh seafood to choose from! Staff is exceptional.
The seafood was fresh, the service excellent, the Menu was extensive..... chowder was the best!

This is a great spot for seafood. I live in this area and I’m very fussy about seafood. It HAS to be super fresh or I want no part of it. You can count on getting very fresh and delicious seafood here. In good weather you can sit outside, literally right by waters edge. If you saw the movie The Finest Kind, you get to see that bridge, practically a character in the movie. That’s the old Fairhaven Bridge that still opens up to let boats pass. A great spot for locals. Even better for out of towners who want to get the true flavor of the area.
We sat outside on a lovely day in October. The deck was not full at the time and the noise level was low. By the time we left early afternoon, the noise level was high so that it was difficult to hear my companion. The staff was very kind and service was excellent. I had a pear martini and it was good, but I have had better. My companion had ice tea. We both had light coating fish and chips. It was excellent. No dessert. I will definitely be back.
Service was horrible!! Waited an hour to get our food and when it finally arrived it was all wrong! Waitress was nowhere to be seen. This is usually one of our favs but this place needs to get better for service!
Love the food here! The only issue is every time you make a reservation you still end up waiting 20/30mins.
Not sure what was going on but service was very slow. We waited a good half hour just to get rolls. We have been there many times and have been very pleased with the service and the food. We were very disappointed with both. Crab cakes for appetizer was more filler and very very little crab . onion soup was half a crock. And not hot. Stuff quahog was not as good as usual. Schrod was overdone. Overall we were disappointed
