We love fathoms. The view is very nice from the restaurant. The waitresses are always very professional, and the food is typically excellent. Tonight, my schrod and scallop casserole was not very good. The scallops were undercooked and it was as if there was water in the dish so the breadcrumbs were very soggy. My husband's lobster dish was excellent. The thing that is difficult to get past is the noise level. You literally have to just about shout in order to be heard...
It took a while for the food to come (about 40 minutes) and when it did arrive my steak was overcooked and very dry. The second one was better but my appetite was gone by the time it arrived (another 30+ minutes). We were celebrating my husband's birthday so the dessert arrived and it had hair in it so that didn't work out either. It was my first time going, don't think I'll be returning.
Great location for a summer night. Bacon wrapped scallops were fantastic as well as the sangrias. Little disappointed in The Blackened Swordfish as was overcooked and small portion for the price. Expected more being right on the docks.
