We had a birthday party of about 35 and everything went perfectly! The owners were so easy to work with, lots of good communication and flexibility. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. The arcade itself is awesome, lots of retro games for everyone to play. Such a cool spot!

The place was packed !! Could not get anywhere close to the bar. Could not order ANYTHING!! People need to get their drink and move away from the bar !

Had an awesome time at PLAY Arcade last night! The staff made the whole night feel like actual *play* — super welcoming and full of great energy.
I was there working on a creative project and the vibe was incredible. Neon glow, retro machines, karaoke crowd… this place really comes alive at night.
I’ll be posting a few photos and a short video here soon — and maybe even a little sneak peek. The atmosphere is too good not to share.

I really enjoyed the arcade classics and a great choice of fun drinks with pub food classics. I enjoyed playing the ninja turtles and old school pinball options. I found the wings really good along with the sliders .

We went to Play Arcade in New Bedford for a friend’s kid’s birthday party and had no idea how much fun it would be! My absolute favorite was the Addams Family pinball game, and the tokens were reasonably priced, which made it easy to just relax and play.
The kids had a blast, and I loved making memories with them. Travis the bartender was hilarious and so good at his job, and the rest of the staff were great too. We happened to catch the Seafood at Sunset event with free seafood pasta from La Rhonda — such a nice touch!
The upstairs deck and swings were the perfect place to chill out, and the music selection was spot-on. The attention to detail with the cassette tape wall and VHS wall was killer. I even tried the Dunkaroo shot, which was a trip!
The food was just as fun as the games — tater tots shaped like Tetris pieces, along with wings, pizza, and more. Pair that with a great beer selection, and it really makes for a night where everyone can enjoy themselves.
Play Arcade is definitely worth the visit — we’ll be back for sure!
Went on a Sunday afternoon for playing the games after a visit to the whaling museum. Atmosphere is excellent. Really well decorated and themes and art change between areas of the bar. Rooftop patio was super cool. Games were in mediocre condition. Addams family spits out extra balls, it was too dark to see the top of the playfield on super Mario and I could not hear the sound on any of the pinballs. DK had graphic glitches and likely needs ROMs reseated. I know how much work it takes to keep all these games in good working condition. I would describe this place as a bar first with arcade games second, as the conditions were not great, especially when considering its pay to play. Still, super cool vibe, just need some tech support.

Incredible experience, great drinks and wonderful atmosphere!
Bartenders were attentive and friendly and they incredibly professional all at the same time serving a fully seated bar.
Food arrived quickly, loved the artwork and the design. Plenty of space even for multiple groups to be in the same area without ever making the place feel too crowded.
Will definitely be returning!

It’s a pretty good arcade bar. I was looking for certain vintage games (dig dug, centipede). I think I’ll try it again on a weekend night, not a sleepy Sunday afternoon.

Update: After owner responded I understand, it could had been better explained and I'm sad we wont be able to enjoy their establishment during our trip.
Previous: Are they shut down? Hours are all "closed" and there's no voicemail saying when they'll be open (or anything at all)
