This used to be our go to Chinese takeout. Last time we went it was different and not for the better. My husband said it was a different man out front also. We figured everyone can have a bad day so we tried it again a few months later. Nope, still horrible.Maybe horrible isn't a completely unbiased review but when you take over a well established restaurant you can't completely change the food.And to do it without even letting the public know it has changed says to me that they were already concerned about what they were doing before they had even done it.Time to find a new go to spot.

WHERE ARE THE OWNERS???!! THIS IS HORRIBLE! A WELL LOVED PLACE I GREW UP EATING IS GONE. I CALLED SAME NUMBER DIFFERENT VOICE DIFFERENT FOOD DISGUSTING AND 30.00 FOR 2 LUNCH SPECIALS L9 CHICKEN AND BROCOLLI I WENT HOME OPENED IT AND IT WAS A MEAL I COULDNT EVEN EAT. DEFINITELY NOT CHICKEN. IM SO DISAPPOINTED THE OLD OWNERS SEEMED LILE DISTANT FAMILY THEY WILL ALL BE MISSED! IF ANYONE KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED?? INQUIRY MINDS WANT TO KNOW I CANT BE THE ONLY ONE CURIOUS TO WTH HAPPENED.

Ive been going to Red Apple for over 20 years, since I was a teenager and let me tell you, I had to throw half of the food away, it was disgusting. The ribs didn't have any red sweet sauce they tasted very bad. The rice wasn't well done...I miss the old Red Apple with the previous owners. The food was on point and always satisfied my cravings as well as my family's. I used to go there once a week or more. Now I wont be coming back.

This was my number 1 Chinese food place in New Bedford, I order food from here at least 5 to 6 times a month or even more , so now the place is under new management and the food here is so terrible that I won't be ever ordering food this place ever again and the prices are even high , which I don't mind paying if the food is worth it which it's not I guess I won't be eating Chinese food again until I go back home to new jersey to visit family...

NEW OWNERs not the original "RED APPLE" we all have come to love . The gentlemen was nice but im sorry you can't take over a well loved place and change the food and expect everyone to love it . I gave it a shot and it was a huge miss .

I've tons a few times over the years and the portions always were pretty good as well as the wait times.. fair pricing as well. I would say their rice needs more flavor though as well as the lo mein

Service is always efficient, friendly and quick. Although there are some spaces to "eat-in", they are really more of a take out place. Good food. Good portions. ?
