This place is the total package. Everything on the menu is delicious and a little different from the norm. My personal favorite is the edamame dumplings. The staff are a glowing reflection of their manager, Mike. All are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable enough to make appropriate recommendations for both food and drinks. The space is small, but it is cozy and tastefully decorated with original paintings of historical figures tied to New Bedford. The cocktails are creative and tasty. They make the absolute best Old Fashioned I've ever had.

Excellent coffee at a fair price. This is a lovely and authentic location. The coffee has a pleasant scent that is both appealing and relaxing. Also, their taco was excellent--meaty, well-seasoned, and with the ideal sauce. There aren't many vegetarian or vegan options. If you chance to be in this neighborhood of New Bedford, I would strongly recommend this place.

The mushroom taco was so filling and so favorful! I wanted to try the coffee but had 2 cups for the day already. I'll definitely be back!

We love Casey and Shannon and team at Scuttlebutt. They moved to Sid Wainer AND have their own spot on Bridge St. in Padanaram. I love Tandem coffee and Casey and team make it right. Their scones are to die for. Appreciate and love these coffee gurus, VERY MUCH.

This Scuttlebutt outpost (there's another one in Padanaram) is tucked away inside the Jansal Valley/Sid Wainer market (so don't be deterred if you don't see much signage). We learned that the menu changes on a weekly basis: we had an eggplant sandwich, noodle salad, and green salad. Each item was delicious, reasonably priced, and speedily prepared. I would highly recommend stopping by for breakfast or lunch if you're vacationing in the area (as we were). Looking forward to returning and enjoying what's on the menu the next time we visit!

Oct 2020 visit...loved Scuttlebutt during a quick visit through New Bedford. What matters most to me about a coffee shop is of course the coffee, followed by staff and ambiance. Sadly during COVID, most shops are pretty low on ambiance, especially shops like Scuttlebutt that are carry out only, but coffee and staff wise, they hit a home run! We were greeted by a lovely staff member who took the order and the coffee was perfect. I had a latte with a touch of raw sugar, and the taste was spot on. Scuttlebutt is definitely on my revisit in "normal" times list!

Omg, they have expanded on their treats and also brew Onyx Coffee! It's as good as it gets in what used to be coffee Siberia!!

The best latte I’ve had anywhere in southeastern MA. Try their oat milk latte if you’ve never had one before. Also, they are always keeping it fresh and experimenting with new pastries and foods. All of them are delicious and inventive!

This local coffee joint is the best new thing to come to New Bedford. I am a cofffee snob from LA (yes I know I already sound like the worst) but I would always find myself missing some high quality cup of joe when I would come back during the summer. Scuttlebutt has become my new staple when I come back east. Even my parents, both of whom will settle with diner coffee being top notch, agree scuttlebutt is miles and miles above. The coffee is bold, rich and the staff is friendly and considerate. Please scuttle your butt here and give this place a go! I guarantee you will enjoy the drinks, and start to become addicted to their food (which I would say also deserves its own post since we are dealing with artisanal treats made by hand!)I highly suggest an iced red eye. Also. Chocolate. Chip. Cookies. Seriously. You could be writing the next 5 star review by now.

Curried sweet potato handpie was delicious! The coffee was also on point.

Tandem Coffee, which I love, and tasty home made treats. Iced chai latte, the best on the East coast !!! Door order, pick up, safe and COVID friendly. Park in lot next door, easy peasy!

Best coffee we've had in the area -- esp. hot and cold lattes. Scones are really fresh, light -- we like them with their special butter and jam. Everything bagel toasted is excellent. Friendly service, practicing safe COVID-19 protocols. Thank you!

I love everything about Scuttlebutt! It’s the best coffee I’ve had outside of Europe, first of all - whether it’s a filter coffee, espresso or mocha. Their baked goods are delicious, it’s obvious that they’re made with the most quality ingredients and with skill. And the atmosphere is so cozy and chill! So glad they exist. Do yourself a favor and support this special little business ?

Best coffee around. Great people, great atmosphere and their iced latte is certified fire (as in delicious). I'll be coming regularly and would advise people who haven't tried it to come down -- you won't be disappointed.
