About Sunrise Bakery

Sunrise Bakery offers an authentic Portuguese experience, with freshly baked goods and rich coffee. It’s a popular spot for those who enjoy Portuguese cuisine or are curious about it. The bakery has reasonable prices and a welcoming family atmosphere, making it a good place for breakfast, lunch, or to pick up weekly bread. The aroma of delicious treats and the friendly staff create a warm neighborhood feel. Customers have praised the linguica cheese rolls, which are made with plentiful linguica and smothered in cheese. The donuts are similar to what they used to be, though some miss the cruellers, but the Boston Cream is loved. The coffee is generally good, though some feel it could be better with the cream ratios. The Caçoila Sandwich is highly recommended, especially when perfectly toasted, though some wish there was a little more inside. The bakery’s early opening time is appreciated by many, but a few customers have experienced delays and wish the hours were more consistent. Overall, Sunrise Bakery remains a delightful local spot with tasty treats and friendly service.

Was served moldy pastries.

I must say after coming to this bakery for the last 28 years minus the closing time coming from minnesota, this year 2025 has been the worst, not only on Friday aug 8. but also on Thursday Aug 14th. you have had no donuts, and the quality has gone down hill since my visit last year, I'm sorry but chocolate drizzle is not supposed to look anemic. but look like chocolate, not as fresh tasting, something was definitely different. I was looking forward to having sunrise donuts...read full review

This experience was not like the previous ownership. There was a stark difference in freshness of bakery items. The donuts were dry and stale (honey drizzle) and definitely not made fresh, more like day old. The natas were soggy and chewy. Very disappointing as this was once my go to. I would have been embarrassed had I bought donuts for family or coworkers and they were like what I received today. Probably won’t return. Head of Westport has great, fresh donuts.
