Wonderful pastries!
When the owner is garbage so is his service
Alright. It's the weekend. Its relatively nice out. And you have no pops on the shelf. No. Pops.
Can't get orders right.. I ordered BEC scrambled. Was asked if wanted rolls heated. Said no. Received dried BEC with microwaved roll. Not even edible 😞
Great people and the baked goods are amazing.
This experience was not like the previous ownership. There was a stark difference in freshness of bakery items. The donuts were dry and stale (honey drizzle) and definitely not made fresh, more like day old. The natas were soggy and chewy. Very disappointing as this was once my go to. I would have been embarrassed had I bought donuts for family or coworkers and they were like what I received today. Probably won’t return. Head of Westport has great, fresh donuts.
Just so others know- we just left… the linguica cheese rolls were EXACTLY the same! The cheese was smothered all over the plentiful linguica! The donuts are similar to what they use to be, but we miss the cruellers- but the Boston Cream is delish! The coffee- well I miss how they use to brew French Vanilla themselves, and they need to critique the cream ratios BUT otherwise was fine. Opening’s are hard, have a little faith and stop by and try it out to support them!
Best local bakery. Great cakes and pastries.
My bf was in New Bedford for an appointment. I Googled bakeries near him and asked him to get me a Caçoila Sandwich from Sunrise. The pop was perfectly toasted and the Caçoila was amazing. I only wish they put a little more in the pop. I could have easily eaten 2 of them. I shouldn't eat 2 of them I'm just saying it was THAT delicious. 🤗
I ordered a small birthday cake. The greeting on top was smudged 😞and it looked like they ran out of frosting. The frosting was so thin that you could see multiple areas of the cake underneath. For what it cost, I won’t be doing that again 😞

Well on Saturday I went and bought a sweet bread to me it just didn't look right like it had not rose enough.. When I got home opened the bag and the sweet bread was so so yellow like neon in color will not be going back again!!!! Bought one last month that went out in the trash also for it was stale.. They are not going to make it if they keep it up..A shame for the other owners were spot on..
I'm commenting today because I'm disappointed in the opening time. 4:30 a.m. should mean 4:30 a.m. I work at 5:00 a.m. and like to stop by on my way to work. However, I don't have many minutes to spare. In the past three weeks, on two different occasions, I arrived at 4:30 a.m. and waited 3-4 minutes for the opening, but nothing happened. As I said, I don't have many minutes to spare. To me, early is on time, on time is late, and late is unacceptable. You won't lose my business, but I won't be visiting at 4:30 a.m. again.
I guess you could call this place a solid for some Portuguese bread and cheese but everything else was borderline ok/ nothing great, remarkable, craveable, or mentionable. Bread is soft and cheese is good. If I lived in the area or was in the area I'd stop by for some bread and cheese once in awhile. Otherwise it's not something I'd go out of my way for. Staff is friendly and it's very clean.
Went in for some fresh sweet bread.. so yummy
I have never seen anything that didn't look like it was made that day. They know how to keep their food fresh. There's always at least 2 people, and most of time there's 3 that are taking care of customers. Both the workers and the other patrons make for good atmosphere and a nice feeling walking in the door.
