I must say after coming to this bakery for the last 28 years minus the closing time coming from minnesota, this year 2025 has been the worst, not only on Friday aug 8. but also on Thursday Aug 14th. you have had no donuts, and the quality has gone down hill since my visit last year, I'm sorry but chocolate drizzle is not supposed to look anemic. but look like chocolate, not as fresh tasting, something was definitely different. I was looking forward to having sunrise donuts for my vacation but again between the quality and not having any I feel cheated. I will try again next year and hope that things are different,
Great Sweetbread!

Went to go pick up my order that had already been screwed up and it was 100 degrees in there not the cleanest. Waited over an hour for my stuff.then they gave me a box of donuts I would not have feed to pigs it was for a fundraiser of over 70 people and this place had no shame I took pictures of what they wanted me to serve my guess it was a joke. I tried to save some that were not melted and thrown in a box .when I tell you a box it was a three foot box with donuts just piled inside. The donuts were also stale. I called them and said I have no pasties thanks to you and have 70 guess coming for a cancer fundraiser in less then 2 hours. So I threw all the donuts in my garbage and went to a real bakery and got beautiful pastries. I thought the donuts were in boxes in this big box. What a hot mess never again will I ever buy from this bakery. I cant even rate them thats how bad it was.

What a shame! This once popular bakery fails on all levels: baked items and service. I placed an order for 6 cheese rolls yesterday to pick up at 7:00 am today. There were only 4 left day old rolls in the case, was told there was no order with my name, and that no phone orders are accepted. Was then told that the Bolton St. branch would have them within half an hour. I have been calling since I left Dartmouth St. There is no answer. I also noted: no customers.
I bought sweetbread to share at work,
It Was TERRIBLE ! AWFULL AWFULL
THE WORST !!!!
Will Not Be Back To Either One Dartmouth St. Or Borden

Alright. It's the weekend. Its relatively nice out. And you have no pops on the shelf. No. Pops.
Can't get orders right.. I ordered BEC scrambled. Was asked if wanted rolls heated. Said no. Received dried BEC with microwaved roll. Not even edible 😞
Great people and the baked goods are amazing.
This experience was not like the previous ownership. There was a stark difference in freshness of bakery items. The donuts were dry and stale (honey drizzle) and definitely not made fresh, more like day old. The natas were soggy and chewy. Very disappointing as this was once my go to. I would have been embarrassed had I bought donuts for family or coworkers and they were like what I received today. Probably won’t return. Head of Westport has great, fresh donuts.
Just so others know- we just left… the linguica cheese rolls were EXACTLY the same! The cheese was smothered all over the plentiful linguica! The donuts are similar to what they use to be, but we miss the cruellers- but the Boston Cream is delish! The coffee- well I miss how they use to brew French Vanilla themselves, and they need to critique the cream ratios BUT otherwise was fine. Opening’s are hard, have a little faith and stop by and try it out to support them!
