Great service, quality, food, and style. This place should be more popular for the quality of the food alone. I had beef teriyaki and the steak was cooked perfectly.
Shame Acushnet, MA is making dine in and I'm sure the liquor license a difficult process. We just grabbed some sake and Sapporo next door and they brought us sake cups and glasses.

Our host was great, and the Japanese food was the most authentic around. A very good experience.

the vibe was super cool, and they had lofi hip hop music on, although a little loud, and a little area in the corner where you could kneel on the floor and put slippers on as a nod to Japanese culture. they said the AC was broken and that they did not yet have their liquor license so if we wanted alcohol we could go to the liquor store next door and come back if we wanted. we got frequent water refills and the steamed dumpling appetizer was solid. the miso soup was VERY flavorful/salty, like other reviewers have said, but not too bad. we got salads before the meal too and the lettuce was very fresh, but the dressing was just like thousand island or something, when i think you’d usually expect ginger? but it was ok.
the food is where they dropped the ball and i was genuinely so confused because i thought it would be good. the first two things i tried to order they didn’t have—poke bowl and salmon tacos. so i got tonkatsu ramen, and like 2 minutes before i got the food i was told they didn’t have pork and that they could substitute chicken, so i said sure why not, and then the chicken was burnt/charred. the ramen was pretty inedible too like another reviewer said. nothing like ramen i’ve had before, like milky. no ramen egg. i could have made my own box ramen for better and 1/10 the price.
my partner got the like prepared meal for $25 and it ended up being a salmon and 2 sticks of tempura (with some small sides for seasoning) and the salmon was split in 3 places although the chef apologized for that.
i felt really awkward and bad, especially for the 16yo kid who is serving us, because he’s gonna get eaten up by upset customers and littl tips if this is how the food is :( i totally understand being a new restaurant and going through a lot of hardship and having some things go wrong, but if you don’t have half the menu and no pork and an incompetent chef on that day you don’t have to be open on that day and pretend. i saw the chef talking to the other table that was there as well, and then someone who i think was the owner.
i really hope y’all can get a better chef and liquor license or have more food because we’re dying for good japanese food in this area and the vibes were super cool

I like to think that I’m understanding about a lot. So when most the items my family ordered wasn’t available. I was happy to substitute any and anything. But despite it not appearing busy it wasn’t ready by promised time. I personally am obsessed with Japanese cuisine. Cook it more often than not and eat it more than any other when I go out. I was craving a real ramen noodle. The broth was more like a gravy and the flavors were just not there. The pork I added was so minimal might as well not got it. Asked for spicy it was bland. The meat on any of our dishes just tasted burnt no flavor. The amount of rice was incredibly small on the teriyaki dish for 20 dollar dish. It was a first experience which made me quite sad. I see what people meant about the miso soup being ‘salty’, I think that it just isn’t quite what people expect because they are used to watery ones, sadly that was that best part of the meal. The restaurant itself was good looking. I was so excited to try it. They were so very nice but it wasn’t a good meal.

Authentic Japanese food is now one of my favorites because of this restaurant. The food is out of this world amazing. The owner/chef is outstanding and enjoys explaining the food he makes, which makes the experience that much better.if I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would! This was our first visit to the new restaurant, we were celebrating our wedding anniversary with friends which I had indicated when I made the reservation. Once we arrived and seated at our table I noticed , the table was decorated with rose petals, complimentary champagne and a beautiful framed "happy anniversary" note!. William and Jason were so thoughtful and took such great care of us throughout our meal! The choices we had made for small plates we shared ,were beautifully presented , cooked to order and delicious as were Sushi and the Ramen, but it did not end there, the desert and the Yuzu tea were such a beautiful way to bring an ending to our meal. We are all so ever grateful for their hospitality and will be back again soon with our family and friends!!!! Thank you William and Jason !!!!

I have been to this new location a few times now and to say it’s a special place is an understatement! The experience from being seated and offered warm towels to the complementary tea service at the end of the meal makes the meal that much better. Will certainly be going back to try out more of the offerings!

This place is by far the best Japanese sushi restaurant around. I've had sushi at many diff Japanese restaurants and they do not come close to YOZAKURA. I was asking about saki prices and the owner gave me a free sample of SOTO Sake..my family and I will be frequenting this place for sure! Best sushi I've ever had!! If your looking for LEGIT Japanese sushi, you have found your destination.
Just got back from having dinner here and I can’t begin to explain how enjoyable the experience was. We arrived right when they opened for dinner and sat at the bar. The owner is absolutely fantastic, the service staff were great, and the chef handling the sushi was awesome. Everything we had was excellent and you can see how mindful they are about the product they serve to their patrons. We were certainly be back.

This place is beyond wonderful! The staff were so kind and welcoming. The gentleman at the front was very kind and invited us in, telling us we could sit where we liked. We settled in and the waitress made some wonderful reccomendations, showing us pictures she had taken of the meals she had ordered for herself in the past. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and shrimp tempura with spicy mayo and both were fantastic. The bathroom was well kept with feminine hygiene products available for guests which was a wonderful touch. The chef thanked us personally for coming in and eating with them. The waitress was also very good with my younger sister, who at the end of her meal got a candy and got to pick some stickers from a bowl they had up front! 10/10 recommend!! Prices were reasonable and the people and food were equally as good ♡
Kid-friendliness: The waitress was very kind to my younger sister, she got candies and stickers and they were making jokes with each other throughout the meal. 10/10 customer service!

You walk into a warm and very clean atmosphere and are greeted by a friendly staff. The menu is written in Japanese and adds to the atmosphere. The owner came out and personally answered all of our questions. The meal starts with a hot wash cloth which is a very nice touch. Our appetizer was crunchy spring roles that were served with a generous and tasty portion of sauce. My wife ordered Sakura Gozen Teishoku special, which is a whole meal. I went with the Chicken Teriyaki. Her dinner special was a special dining delight as was my Chicken Teriyaki. If you are looking for a Japanese dinner experience in the New Bedford area, this is the place. It was worth the drive for us. Come hungry and I know you will leave happy after a great dining experience.
