You walk into a warm and very clean atmosphere and are greeted by a friendly staff. The menu is written in Japanese and adds to the atmosphere. The owner came out and personally answered all of our questions. The meal starts with a hot wash cloth which is a very nice touch. Our appetizer was crunchy spring roles that were served with a generous and tasty portion of sauce. My wife ordered Sakura Gozen Teishoku special, which is a whole meal. I went with the Chicken Teriyaki. Her dinner special was a special dining delight as was my Chicken Teriyaki. If you are looking for a Japanese dinner experience in the New Bedford area, this is the place. It was worth the drive for us. Come hungry and I know you will leave happy after a great dining experience.

Great food, friendly staff, and lovely atmosphere! Came here with a party of 5 for a birthday and we were all quite pleased. We had the teishoku set menu special, the curry rice, and the gyudon and everything was delicious. Will be back another time to try the sushi!

Update: The owner is super sweet. He called me and apologized and issued a full refund. Thank u Will.I’ve ordered from here twice. First time was okay so my bf and I decided to try it again. I don’t think we’ll be coming back after tonight though.. He ordered the tempura meal and asked for extra shrimp instead of veggies but still received the veggies and no extra shrimp. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with extra egg and chicken. The eggs were incredibly salty and the chicken was burnt. I took a few bits before I threw it in the trash. Also we ordered “the meal” option online but didn’t receive the sides for either meals.

This place is beyond wonderful! The staff were so kind and welcoming. The gentleman at the front was very kind and invited us in, telling us we could sit where we liked. We settled in and the waitress made some wonderful reccomendations, showing us pictures she had taken of the meals she had ordered for herself in the past. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and shrimp tempura with spicy mayo and both were fantastic. The bathroom was well kept with feminine hygiene products available for guests which was a wonderful touch. The chef thanked us personally for coming in and eating with them. The waitress was also very good with my younger sister, who at the end of her meal got a candy and got to pick some stickers from a bowl they had up front! 10/10 recommend!! Prices were reasonable and the people and food were equally as good ♡Kid-friendliness: The waitress was very kind to my younger sister, she got candies and stickers and they were making jokes with each other throughout the meal. 10/10 customer service!

We came here for dinner dine in and our experience wasn’t so great. I’m giving 3 stars because the man who helped us (I assume was the owner) was very kind. The hostess/waitress took 10 mins to seat us, another 10 mins to give us menus, and then she completely forgot about us. Didn’t give us water or asked what our orders were.We both ordered house ramen with pork. The Naruto, egg, and pork were all missing, it was just noodles and scallions. I looked at other reviews of people’s ramen and ours was very empty compared to those ones. The man who helped us was very nice and I can tell he cares, but we were disappointed

I was excited to try this place and since it has dine in i decided to pop in and the atmosphere was very comfortable and quiet. The staff was extremely friendly and tentative!!! I sat up at the sushi bar ordered miso soup with some Japenese ice coffee to start with and for my sushi plate I ordered shrimp tempura and spicy tuna roll. Everything was perfect. The sushi was very fresh and plated well, I wish I took a picture! Shout out to the sushi bar chef that hooked up this special oil with i believe, minced scallions? It was bomb and he shared a sample of his homemade kimchi that was better than any kimchi ive ever had, honestly and hope to see it as a special sometime! Someone who appeared to be the owner came and asked me how everything was, which was really nice. When I was finished another waitstaff handed me an unexpected hot Jasmin tea! It was very bold in flavor and delicious! All in all it was an excellent experience and I not only recomend checking this place out, but i recommend making it your go to sushi place!

We just had the most magical experienceat Yozakura. We went in for a family meal to celebrate my son’s 13th birthday. Japanese cuisine is his favorite, and with all the positive reviews, had high hopes for a delicious meal. I am happy to say all of the food was delicious, perfectly seasoned and artfully presented. My son had the most special 13th Birthday. Thank you Yozakura, we can’t wait to come in again!I must add that both of my boys said the cake was the most delicious cake ever also! Thank you again ???

Went there for the first time tonight for takeout. Enjoyed the atmosphere while waiting. Food was delicious. My wife who typically sushi, loved the roll that she got. Hopefully the town stops messing around and gives them the go-ahead for in person dine-in. Will definitely be back soon!

I came to dinner with my 8 year old daughter. It was a wonderful experience. The miso soup and salad were the best I’ve ever had to start. The food was fresh, sushi was delicious and the service was perfect. You get the family business feel and extra care and attention. It was a wonderful evening and a memory I’ll hold forever. I will be back. A large table had gotten the chef special (not on the regular menu) and I will definitely be doing the same next time when my date isn’t a sushi loving 8 year old.

Last Saturday my daughter and I put in 2 take out orders. We were told it would be about 35 minutes. We actually arrive there probably closer to 40 minutes so we figured everything would be ready. We went in and we paid for our meals and they said it wasn’t quite ready yet. We had to wait another 20 minutes. The staff was very nice and accommodating. They even brought us some green tea. And invited us to sit down. My daughter needed to go to the bathroom so they showed her how to get there. When she did get to the bathroom, she noticed there were multiple power tools and pieces of wood all over A table at the entrance of the kitchen. We were pretty excited to finally get our food. I don’t know where to begin on how bad the food was. We got the shrimp, tempura sushi. The shrimp was so overcooked in the tempura it looked like there was no shrimp in there at all. we ordered the teriyaki chicken meals we ordered two of them. Each of them were $20 each and it came with about 8oz of soup and a salad. The soup was just a plain broth. And the salad was maybe five pieces of lettuce with two cucumber slices! And the salad dressing tasted like it was straight soy sauce. It was one piece of chicken breast, and maybe one cup of rice under it. And the flavor of ginger was so overpowering. It was really inedible. Not worth 20$$ We also ordered the spring rolls and their version of a crab Rangoon. Both of these items seemed like they were frozen items bought at a grocery store. Definitely not handmade. The sushi was also not fresh. The rice looked like it was starting to turn brown, and the cucumber was turning brown as well. It clearly was not fresh. It is so very hard to write a bad review because like I said the people there were very nice and accommodating. But that food was so unacceptable. I have never had Japanese food before and I know that that was not a good representation of what Japanese cuisine should be. Needless to say I will not be going back there. And unfortunately, I have let quite a few people know how poor their food was.

Went this past Friday for dinner. Walked in & saw the takeout/delivery only sign. We were greeted and were told since we’re coming in hungry & there were seats, we could be served. We do appreciate that, which is why they get 2 stars for service but they also shouldn’t have accepted customers if they were not prepared to take care of them properly. There were 2 hostess/servers and we got service from both. Never got napkins, had to ask for utensils. Ordered a sushi roll that we never got. We were told by friends that were also eating there that the staff was very rude to other staff. We didnt really get checked on while we were there.Miso soup was delicious, salad was ok. Gyoza were almost inedible, full of grease & falling apart, ordered pan fried and you can tell they were plopped into a pan with not hot enough oil for 2 seconds. I ordered tonkastu ramen which was fully inedible, frothy to the point there was no broth and tasted like milk. Had one very thin, poor tasting piece of pork. Husband got house ramen which was just ok, had no flavor. He had a few bites, i had one. Took almost 2 hours with only a handful of other patrons inside. Was very excited to try this restaurant because we’ve been dying for good ramen in the area, will not be back.

Took a very long time to get our food. The food was very underwhelming and one of my sushi rolls was gross and did not appear fresh. One person preparing food kept taking his gloves off and putting them in his pocket then re using the same gloves. The person preparing sushi kept his gloves on and touched everything even the trash and other food. The ramen was room temperature when I got it. To top it off the hostess was extremely rude to the other employees. 0 out of 10 would not recommend.
