The Old Inn On The Green Restaurant

The food and service were absolutely the best. I had the carrot, ginger and coconut soup, the rack of lamb and the flourless chocolate cake with coffee. As usual, all aspects were outstanding!

Server inserted himself a bit too much though the service was impeccable and lovely. Rack of lamb was too thick and somewhat tough. Amuse bouche and extras are wonderful additions.

One of my favorites! The Old Inn delivers a special ambiance and delicious food by a friendly and attentive staff.

We went In expecting to be wowed! Our hostess sat us in the same room as the kitchen and bathroom. All we heard was the kitchen talking to each other and silverware slamming around. Our dining room was where guests walked through to get to the bathroom. When I booked the reservation on Open Table I requested a corner table. This is not what I got. The food was good but for the price I expected to be outstanding. My lamb was undercooked and chewy. The dessert was the best part of our meal.

The Old Inn on the Green is a family favorite. Last night was a little blip in our experience but overall, it has always been a lovely place to be.

We have been coming for many years and always been happy with our visits. This time was disappointing. We have always found the food very good. This time the halibut was tasteless and seemed to have been frozen. The appetizers were also bland. The raspberry clafoutis was very good. It was also unfortunate that it was a very hot evening and it being a very old inn there's understandably no air conditioning but a few fans and some more open windows might have made the experience more pleasant.
