“This is the best food I have had in a while from a restaurant. I am so glad I took the drive to check it out. The place has an artist yet simple vibe. Only houses a few tables, so perfect for small groups or a new place to take yourself out. And the food was amazing. I had the dumplings and pork belly and an olive oil cake. Everything was amazing. I highly recommend this establishment.”

“Hands down by far THE best Indian food I’ve ever had, this place will ruin Indian restaurants for you because once you eat here you’ll never want to go anywhere else. The food tastes genuinely fresh and flavor is immaculate, the naan blows every other restaurant out of the water being soft buttery and melts in your mouth. From the very fist bite of my appetizer I knew this place was doing something different and special. I’m not certain but I think this may be a family operation, if so then I’d venture to say their food is made with tender care. Seems like they really want to take the art and skill of Indian cuisine and share it with others. Did I mention the naan melts in your mouth? Makes all other naans seem stale and pre-made like being reheated from frozen. Samosas are fantastic, and my favorite entrees so far have been the lamb vindaloo and goat curry, I’m a fan of heat so usually get it very spicy but they will tailor it to however hot you want it. If the heat gets too much you can always order a mango lassi! My wife got the tandoori chicken which was also very good. Special note about my wife too, she is generally not a fan of Indian food, I had to push so hard to persuade her into giving this place a shot; she was not disappointed and was genuinely in shock at how much she enjoyed the food here, and trust me that’s saying a lot. This place is about hour and a half from where we live and we would happily drive past every Indian restaurant on the way just to go here, please give this place a chance and support this establishment so they can stay in business into the foreseeable future, bc to lose this place would be a tragedy. 5 million out of 5 stars!”

“This place was amazing!! It was "date night". We were both very satisfied with the place, our food and our interactions with employees. We started with the fried potato pancakes, Delicious!! He had the chicken and waffles and I had the Cali BLT w/ onion rings. The portions are great and the prices are right!! I definitely recommend checking them out.”

“So…you can see them in the background of their current profile pic..the TOMATOES!! These are THIER OWN TOMATOES! Obviously, here we sit, it’s June 19th, these have to be greenhouse tomatoes. Now, don’t get me wrong, nothin wrong with a greenhouse tomato, but, given the choice, I’d take a sun-ripened field tomato over a greenhouse tomato 8 days a week! These tomatoes are awesome! They cut and eat like field tomatoes! Tomatoes make me happy…and I thought I wasn’t going to be happy for another month or more…what a pleasant surprise!”

“My wife, kids, and I moved to the area three weeks ago from the South. We LOVE The Elm AND Uva! Our kids are young and they were so accommodating to their (and our) special needs. Our autistic daughter immediately connected to all the staff but especially April which for our family means more than anything but to add good drinks, great food, on top of the hospitality… we think we found “our spot” in our new home. “Imagine my delight when I found this gem during a visit to Great Barrington while touring the area. We had our senior dog with us and my husband and I needed a table outdoors to eat in the shade. Almost out of options, then we walked down a side street off Main Street and found STEAM Noodle Cafe among the few open restaurants on a Monday at the shared patio area. I LOVED the Northern Thai Curry Chicken bowl, accurately described as “flavorful but not spicy”. All I can say is YUMMY. I don’t “do” spicy and am often disappointed when i trust a restaurant to accurately describe a dish as not-spicy. This dish was gorgeous, colorful and I almost licked the bowl clean. While stepping back inside to praise the restaurant, another customer heard my rave review and also ordered that dish. Wish I lived closer, I’d be there often.”
