“Surprising good! Everything was made with care and deliciousness. Their fryer is GREAT, from the brussel sprouts to good 'ol french fries potatoes - perfect. Good burgers, nice salads.Simple bar food for the most part, with an excellent execution.Service was great, we came in with a large party with only one person on floor staff (hostess, bartender, waitress, busser), she was communicative, efficient, and pleasant.I'd happily go back. Strong recommendation if you're in the area.”
“Super cute place! Very clean! The bartender was awesome.. I forget his name.. but he only works on Thursday’s! Great selection of beers and ciders.. I opted for flights so I could try everything! Outside they have comfy rocking chairs on the porch. There’s cards and different games…”
“Owner was super friendly and went above and beyond with helping me, checking in, etc. I was having a not so great morning, but her kindness turned it around. Great food, great service, will be coming back :)”
“We always enjoy coming to this restaurant, for its historical atmosphere and delicious food. We were there over the weekend, and asked for a special table for our family who was there from out of town, and they had it waiting for us when we arrived. Thank you!”
“Stopped in after a meal at a local restaurant for a scoop. I tried the ginger ice cream and my son got the maple walnut. We both agreed that the ice cream is excellent. There was only one poor girl working the counter and line kept getting longer (too many people ordering milkshakes!). Our wait was around 8 minutes to be served so it wasn't too crazy. The ginger ice cream was truly delicious.”
“Went to the Old Inn on the Green for a Birthday dinner and it was exquisite. Quite simply one of the most amazing meals my husband and I have ever enjoyed. The food is truly, truly special. Lovely candlelit atmosphere, attentive service. Treat yourself. You will not regret it.”
“Among the finest restaurants in the northern - if not the country. Super-fresh ingredients transformed into mouthwatering delights. A warm welcome is always guaranteed, too! It’s not cheap but by the standards of today’s 5-star spots, highly reasonable. A must to visit if you’re in the Berkshires.Vegetarian options: They always have o e or two exquisite vegetarian options.Parking: Parking is right next to the restaurant. Being able to use the spaces in the lot owned by the bank next door means there is ample parking.”
“Oh boy do I love this place. It's on my hit list for every trip to GB. It's an embarrassment of riches every time I visit. Everything I've tried as been phenomenal. Folks working there are super sweet as well!”
“Great venue for live music. Good, reasonably priced food. Great atmosphere. Be sure to arrive early for best seats, or any seats at all if it is a popular artist (a ticket did not guarantee a seat!)”
“The Berkshire Mountain bakery is always a must go for me whenever I am in the Berkshires... My friends in California always remark how good it is when I bring them back a loaf... Highly recommend!”
“Found in an old train station and has a neat vibe. You can play darts and giant connect 4 and just hang out and drink beer. The Fruit Snack and Lazy Hazy were our favourites. We’d go back if we were in the area.”
“Awesome affordable scratch kitchen with a diverse menu and fun specials. Greatly appreciated the numerous gluten free options!Dietary restrictions: Had multiple gluten free appetizers and main dinner dishes!”
“Really, really good restaurant. All of our dishes (the bread, two different salads, the chicken, a pasta, and two desserts) were spot on. High end without being precious or pretentious. Wine list is excellent, including some excellent wines at (relatively) reasonable prices. Service is friendly and professional and the setting is very nice. Our best meal in the area. I'm happy they could take a walk-in on a Saturday. I wouldn't bet on it if it's other than 5pm.”
“We had just booked our wedding venue in the Great Barrington area, and knew that many of our friends and family members would be arriving the night before and staying in Great Barrington. We wanted to throw a welcome party for everyone to get people mingling and having fun in a very casual and fun atmosphere. Cove Bowling and the Backstage Grill seemed absolutely perfect! I reserved the bowling lanes in April, and I was in contact with Robin about the food menu since the summer. She is phenomenal!!!!! We spoke on the phone many times… she’s so enthusiastic and ready to help and she had so much to offer. She and her daughter even decorated the tables for us, and went out of their way to help our guests give us a very sweet memento :) There were SOO many food options, and she was so accommodating to my guests with food allergies. We ended up with around 80 guests, and we ordered a bunch of pizzas, chicken tenders, wings, and fruit platters... plenty of food. Our guests opened their own tabs at the bar and compared to Boston/NY drink prices, they were happily surprised at how low their bar tabs were! The prices overall were super reasonable and I'm so happy that we chose to host our welcome party here!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating. Our friend w celiac had her own personal cauliflower crust pizza!”
“Food fresh and excellent. I had breakfast, hash and eggs. Homemade hash was very good, always an indicator for a breakfast spot. Nice location on Main Street in Great Barrington. Very walkable town.”
“Big Elm brewing is a must stop. Woman owned and brewed. And this satellite taproom in GB is cozy and warm. Chill with friends or family. Excellent beer, atmosphere. One restroom so be aware. Merch available. Easy parking.”
“This spot came highly recommended to me by a friend and it was definitely worth the stop! Incredible cocktails with a cozy/vibey interior. We had a golden milk punch- a take on a clarified punch that was perfectly crafted! Although we didn't have anything to eat here- there were several boards that went past that looked incredible!”
“I absolutely love this unique find. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The service was Swift and the food was excellent. A quaint little spot it was comfortable, and I quite enjoyed the music. Overall a great experience we didn't have any libation just the food and some water and everything was great. I highly recommend them as a restaurant. I'm not sure about the bar part, but going on what my experience was, I would imagine that's pretty good, too.”
“Delicious coffee, and killer blueberry scones.Perfect Sunday, I was lucky to enjoy this right at the Mt Washington.Parking: Right in from of the store, also bit to the sideKid-friendliness: Very welcoming feeling”
“A nice spot to grab a quick bite to eat. Limited seating but large tables and neat nooks. Loved that it was dog friendly inside. The dill oil on the potato leek soup was heavenly but the Brie and fig jam baguette was only OK. Our coffee and dirty chai were tasty.”
“The CUTEST humble local diner vibes. The food was simple and delicious for brunch. They were so accommodating to provide a Patty Melt even though it wasn't explicitly on the menu. Definitely family owned. Expect regular basic coffee here - no lattes”
“Came from out of town with my family and wanted to see what food would be good to try and this place was recommended. When first greeted you are given a very warm welcome and that let me know the food was going to be AMAZING !Very decent price with foodThanks so much for everything !”
“Excellent all around. We started off with local beer on tap and a plate of aranci. Chicken trombette and steak neo with afresh greens and balsam side salad were perfect. Finished with an espresso and ordered a hot cheese pie to go. Cozy, clean environment. Staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. Quality of food and quantity of food was very reasonable. Full belly, Happy heart.”
“Stopped in for dinner after a day of skiing at Catamount. I had a jalapeño margarita. It was tasty. My dinner was the carnitas tacos. Very delicious. I also tried an Al Pastor taco and it was also good. The chips and salsa were better than average. The restaurant is located in some kind of a building that houses multiple businesses so that is kind of interesting.Parking: We found a free spot on the street within 5 minute walk from the restaurant. There was closer parking right in front, as well.”
“First time at The Elm and we really enjoyed the experience. The food was beautifully presented, and taste fantastic! High praise for the kitchen staff! The service is slow, but it seemed like it was meant to allow a relaxing dinner experience. We never had to ask for anything because the waiter checked on us at perfect intervals. We are looking forward to returning.”
“We actually discovered this restaurant by accident while we were looking for a different restaurant. We decided to take a chance - and are very glad we did. We were greeted immediately by a super friendly young man who showed us to our seat and provided us with menus. Shortly thereafter another super friendly gentleman came by and took our drink order. He brought us our drinks and after waiting an appropriate amount of time for us to have reviewed their menu he came back and asked if we had made our selections. Getting right to the good part - their soups are outstanding! They came piping hot and loaded with fresh ingredients. Magnificent flavoring. One of us got the grilled chicken sandwich which came with the usual lettuce and tomato but also came with bacon and avocado. Absolutely scrumptious! We also got the giant burrito which was a truly wonderful experience. The restaurant is bright and cheerful with subdued colors on the walls and pleasant decorations. Overall this was a wonderful experience - one that we will, most definitely, repeat. Give this restaurant a try. You will not be disappointed!!!”
“We have never been disappointed by the quality of food at The East. Sometimes takeout is busy but this is a good thing! Our server today was Tony and he was so thoughtful and caring, truly made our Easter Sunday very memorable.”
“A favorite place for lunch or dinner anytime. Friendly attentive staff and caring owners. Try the eggplant fries. You won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend! ?”
“What a lovely family farm shop. The owner Theresa and her daughter Rachael took time to talk about the farm and made recommendations of other area farms we should visit. They have local meat and cheese, yummy cookies and pies and scones. The scones tasted (almost) just like mine, not dry at all. They also have a large selection of cute gift items. They make cool seed starter pots from cow manure to help reduce the amount of plastic that goes into the landfill and make use of something most farmers get rid of. This place is totally worth a visit!”
“Upon entering Roberto's restaurant, you will immediately feel a cozy and inviting atmosphere that will transport you to the Italian and Swiss border. At Roberto's, pizzas are not just meals; they are stories crafted on dough, with each topping representing a character and each slice being a plot twist. There is a dizzying variety of toppings available, from the classic pepperoni, bacon, and sausage to the more daring combinations, and the chicken and cauliflower wings are top-notch. If you have any allergies, you won't even know the crust is gluten-free! The friendly service adds to the charm, ensuring each visit is as comforting as the last. Roberto's restaurant combines the hearty nuances of Italian cuisine with the bold flavors of his heritage in Guadalajara, creating a unique dining experience. Every meal is a memory in the making. Whether you are a local or just passing through, Roberto's is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an authentic slice of Italy with a twist of international flair. I wasn’t in town long enough but someday I am going back for Breakfast Pizza!Dietary restrictions: Easy and delicious- Roberto's got this!”
