D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches

My family and I visited D'Angelo's on our way to Maine. Our drive was lengthy so we naturally used the bathroom. The women's bathroom was dirty with toilet paper stuck to the toilet seat and hanging on the floor. The trash recepticle was over full and could not fit another paper towel. Per my son and husband the men's room was not much better and there were leaks coming up through the floor. We ordered 2 steak and cheese subs and a steak and cheese pocket, 2 soda's and 3 small chips. Our bill was over $40.00 and we waited over 20 minutes for our meal in a nearly empty restaurant. My pocket was so greasy that the entire pocket fell apart. My son and husband also complained of their subs being very greasy. I had to clean our booth myself with a napkin and the entire dining area was filthy. All of the trash receptacles in the dining area were so full that it was impossible to compact them further and we were forced to leave our trash on top of the counter. One of the other patrons who had just come in smiled at us for at least trying to pick up. I have never been to a eating establishment this filthy and poorly run. I will never eat here again. As someone who works in a restaurant I understand that it can be difficult to keep up with all of the work involved, but this is still no excuse. The men's room was repulsive and I think I would have felt better using an overturned porta potty. But it got better the rather expensive sandwiches ended up being so greasy there was a small pond at the bottom of my plate. The best part by far was the trash! now I really tried but short of getting on top of the bin and jumping up and down there was no way to make enough free space in the receptacle to fit any trash into. I'm only 18 but in that short time I can say that I have never been so grossed out by the conditions of a restaurant in my life. Frankly it made me miss my high school lunches, and thats scary!

Steak and cheese sub on a frozen roll!! I'm sure if it wasn't a to go order they wouldn't have served it that way. Very disappointed.

Impressively clean, friendly staff and fresh delicious food. This is the best location I've visited.
