We are very fortunate to dine here regularly. Food is consistently very good. Service is excellent. Our regular servers stop by the table and ask how we are even when not in their section. Ownership makes everyone comfortable and really tries to touch base with each guest. I can't wait until our next visit. I'll add photos next time.

Spending a week in Ipswich for summer vacation, we spent an afternoon in Newburyport. I will admit that we have been disappointed in the food that we have eaten since we arrived 2 days ago, but eating at Loretta changed all that. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service was great and the food was excellent ! We were so glad that we went there, and I would not be surprised if we returned before we head home.

They take reservations, but if you get in early enough for late lunch, shouldn't be a problem. How ever you go, this place is worth what ever wait you have to endure. Food was awesome as was the service. Our waitress was one of the top 5 we've ever had. Taylor knows her job and does it well. We'll be going back, you can count on it.

Went on a Monday and who would of thunk it would be busy. Sat at the bar...bit of a wait but what I loved was the bar tender acknowledged us which is half the battle,,,she was awesome and so was the food. Manager is always on top of things too. And yes the food was good too !

This was an awesome restaurant! Everything we ordered was way above expectations:) the Sweet Potato fries annd Brussels sprouts appetizers were incredible and definitely worth a try! The lobster rolls were delicious and the cookie skillet dessert was one of the best desserts we have ever had! This place is lovely and we are excited to come back when we’re back in town.

Service was terrible. Drinks were not refilled, no dessert was offered, had to ask hostess for our check. Waitress was rude after we asked for our check. If we lived in the area, we would not go back.

Making a reservation was easy, and my party was greeted warmly by staff. I was so happy that we went to this great restaurant. Clean, warm, friendly vibe. Great artwork on the walls (for sale, from local artists.) We ordered shared appetizers, crab cakes, chips and guac, shrimp cocktail, and Brussels sprouts -- all delicious. Great for us, some couldn't do seafood. We ordered Pork Chops, Filet Mignon, Chicken Scallopini, and Fish. Every dish was plated and served wonderfully. We had an excellent server -- Elaine! -- she knew the dishes, brought our drinks quickly, and was nearby when we wanted her for something. The food tasted fabulous. The drinks, the wine, and dessert martinis were fantastic. I had a great dirty martini, shrimp cocktail, filet mignon, and Cabernet Sauvignon. My party of six was equally happy with their meals, desserts, and after dinner drinks. The atmosphere, the food, and the service were exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant. Already looking forward to going back to this restaurant the next time I go to Newburyport. Thank you, Loretta for a fantastic meal and experience.
