I’ve never really enjoyed coming in here (6+ times). Don’t really find the staff to be friendly. Usually stop off if I’m in a rush heading out of town. Plenty of other amazing places in NBPT to go to for great coffee, baked goods, friendly staff and actual indoor seating. It’s a shame because the coffee is really good.

Stopped by for bagels, pastries and coffee. I am thrilled to report that they have scallion cream cheese!!! Absolutely delicious, although I didn’t see it on their menu. I might have missed it. I’m hoping that they always have it because I would go there for this alone. There’s some extra parking around the back, and the street has had lots of available spaces every time we’ve gone past. Had to drop a star for no seating. It would be even better if there were, although spacewise it would only help a lucky few at a time. But it could be you!
Dietary restrictions: Gf bread option and a gf and vegan sweet treat.
Kid-friendliness: Has your usual cafe offerings. I’ve never seen a kid not love a croissant!
Wheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair or stroller access. I.e no ramp. To enter and exit you need to get up 4-6 steps, and can’t see the counter to order from below.

I really wanted to like this place because Newburyport needs a good coffee shop. Food was bad. Dry, stale english muffin with microwaved egg and bacon. I honestly think a dunkins or mcdonalds breakfast sandwich would have been better. The iced coffee was fine, and the staff were friendly. I understand they don't have indoor seating and aren't required to have a bathroom for customers but a bathroom would be nice.

Olives Coffee Shop is a gem for coffee lovers. The coffee here is amazing, with a standout being the salted caramel latte, which is packed with flavor and perfectly balanced.

Absolutely loved this place! Stopped here on a day trip to Newburyport after I saw it on social media and was not disappointed. We ordered the slated caramel latte, the brown sugar cinnamon latte, a croissant bacon egg and cheese, a broche cinnamon roll and a strawberry streusel muffin. Everything was spectacular. The salted caramel was my personal favorite, as it was the PERFECT combo of salty and sweet. My mom loved the brown sugar cinnamon. The cinnamon roll was the last one they had and it was so worth it- perfectly crunchy and soft and the icing was incredible. Prices and sizing were reasonable. I highly recommend coming here if you have the time! I took 1 star off atmosphere only because there was no seating, but it didn't impact our experience at all, we took it to go and ate it in town :)
Parking: Parking was a bit of a challenge only because we didn't know what to expect. There's plenty of street parking and side streets nearby you can park as well! It wasn't an issue for us

Great coffee and bake shop. The staff were friendly and the coffee and scone were great. There was a cool outdoor area out back behind the shop that was decorated with red white and blue for the 4th and Adirondack chairs. Great little spot.
