We went to Jewel in The Crown before a night out in Newburyport for our anniversary. We love Indian food and this has been one of the best in Massachusetts. We started out with a mango lassi and the meat samosa. The mango lassi was great, it's a timeless classic. The meat samosa had peas and ground lamb in it, the pastry was light, and the fillings were packed in, it went great with their mint sauce which has a hint of spice to it. One of the best Indian restaurants I've ever visited! Worth the drive from DC to MA, and I stop in whenever I'm in Newburyport. The owners are lovely people, too. The restaurant matches its name. ❤️

I have been going to this restaurant for years now, and never once have I been disappointed in the quality of the food or service here. The management is also quite friendly and there is a hospitable atmosphere. I can't recommend Jewel in the Crown enough. Not only is this place my favorite Indian restaurant, but I would say without a doubt that it is the best restaurant that I've ever been to, full stop.
